Room was newly renovated and clean. Staff friendly and helpful to deal with. Area where it's located not all taxis, urber's can get to, down, on a steep hill, so have to get your baggage up and down. Streets cobblestone, which can also makes things more difficult. Very challenging for someone with mobility issues, as all that area is fairly hilly.

The property was beautiful although the room was just average. We arrived in the middle of a terrible storm exhausted, drenched and cold and the staff ignored us for awhile. It felt really unwelcoming

The staff were very helpful and courteous. The rooms were small but quite clean. The entry to the hotel is a little complicated but for a location like Alfama, it is expected. It is actually very close to a number of Fado music places and miradouros. We loved it

Other than being very clean and the reception staff being super helpful, the rooms and bathrooms are sub par and very poorly and cheaply finished. The breakfast had very minimal variety and not very flavorful. At the price point, I wouldn’t recommend it unless you get the room at less than 150 euros or so.
