Santiago de Alfama was a lovely boutique hotel with excellent service. The staff was attentive and personable, the breakfast wonderful and the rooms and public areas were beautiful and comfortable. Santiago de Alfama was historic, understated elegance in the quiet old atmospheric Alfama district. Our family of 4 loved our experience and would love to return.

My husband and I loved every minute of our stay! The continental breakfast, hotel restaurant/bar, staff, and location made it worth every single penny! In our opinion, the hotel is in the best location—tucked away so it’s peaceful but right outside the hustle and bustle of the old town (and near the castle which was convenient). We also randomly met the hotel owner who was very friendly and humble. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone who is visiting Lisbon!

From the moment we arrived the staff at Santiago de Alfama made our stay truly memorable. We received a warm welcome from Rita and Martin with a brief tour of the history and renovations of the property. Our "small room for two" was spacious with beautiful views of the courtyard and river. The hotel was immaculate and a perfect location to see all of the historical districts of Lisbon. Lana arranged our spa treatments, taxi and offered recommendations on how to get around. Our massages at the spa were wonderful - thanks to Ajah and Thelma!! The restaurant, bistro and bar were all fantastic. The wines selected by Enrique were a spectacular compliment to our food. This is the perfect combination of service, location, and food. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at - we would highly recommend for your stay in Lisbon.

Beautiful hotel, clean rooms and wonderful staff. This property is not for anyone with mobility issues, it is on a steep hill and has only one small elevator. If that is not an issue for you, than this is definitely where you want to be

The hotel was amazing and the reception staff and dining staff very helpful and friendly- we loved the junior suite and all the facilities. There are a number of derelict properties surrounding the hotel which didn’t directly affect us - but did detract from the general ‘high end’ feel

Santiago de Alfama hotel is a beautiful quaint hotel in the center of historic Lisbon. The service was top notch and the room was beautiful. I loved the hotel and is made my trip to Lisbon memorial. The BEST aspect of my stay, and it was all very good, was the food in the restaurant. Audrey’s. The food was exquisite. From the tomato carpaccio to the grilled octopus to the banana pudding.
