The suite was lovely, clean and accommodated the three of us perfectly. The large bed was queen size in our country (Canada), and was a pleasant surprise. It was advertised as a double bed, which in North America is only slightly bigger than a twin size, but turned out to be a queen size bed…yippee. The concierge’s were professional and gave excellent recommendations on sightseeing and local transportation, restaurants, etc. Highly recommend this centrally located apartment building.

We could not have been happier with this property. Highlights: Joseph, at the front desk. He was so friendly, kind, helpful. He made great recommendations and even got us in at a popular restaurant without a reservation. He seemed to honestly care if we were having a good time and felt taken care of. Location is PERFECT. The apartment was beautiful. Looks just like the pictures. We had the one bedroom with pullout sofa. Everything worked, the beds were comfortable (even the pull out sofa!), the bathroom/shower were great. The kitchen is great -- with coffee (Keurig) that worked great and tasted better. There is an elevator (key!). Outside the front door is everything you need. Food, shopping, and very close to all you want to see. Note: the property is within a "walking district" only -- so you have to pick up your Uber a block or so away at the square. Taxis and Ubers can't make it to your front door -- not a big deal! Staying here absolutely made our trip. While it was a little more expensive, it was worth every penny. You won't be disappointed!

Beautifully designed and renovated apartments

Apartment was clean and comfortable, extremely central , close to shops and restaurants and the commercial square and chiado shopping, some noise from near by building work and trams through night however if you lock the shutters it helps. Air con is quiet an efficient. Friendly staff, handy tips on where to eat and owner was accommodating with local info. I am fussy with pillows and found them to be too hard however I usually take my own as I am so particular! We found 3 adults in the superior apartment to be too cramped - pay for deluxe if you can - views are amazing and it appears much more spacious.

I had a wonderful stay at this apartment right in the heart of Lisbon. The location could not have been better, with shops, cafés and restaurants right outside and the streets buzzing from morning until late. It made exploring the city easy and I loved being able to pop back for a quick rest or to drop off shopping bags full of pastel de nata before heading out again. The bed was perfectly firm and so comfortable. The shower worked a treat and the coffee maker was a nice bonus, though I would recommend bringing your favourite espresso pods to start the day right. Check-in was a breeze with active reception, which meant I could arrive on my own schedule. The apartment is roomy enough for a family of 2 and even has a lift, a lifesaver when carrying luggage. A brilliant base to enjoy Lisbon in all its noisy, colourful glory.

Sadly , what started out as a great experience ended poorly . Upon check in, we were advised that the water and tea was complimentary. As such, we drank the water . We were going to throw the empty glass water bottle (think souvenir )away when our daughter suggested we take it . Since the water was complimentary , we said ok. They didn’t say “the water is complimentary but we reuse the water bottle “. Well we couldn’t be more shocked when we got off our flight now as we arrived home today and they messaged telling us they sell the water bottles for 25 euros . This information was not conveyed at check in. I cannot with clear conscience recommend a hotel where there is dishonesty and lack of disclosure .

We stayed as a family of four (two adults and two kids) at Villa Baxia. This hotel was wonderful. From the moment we walked into the reception area we were welcomed by a very friendly staff member. Check in was quick and they brought our bags upstairs for us. Our apartment was beautiful. High ceilings, beautiful decor and we had the most beautiful view. The beds were extremely comfortable and we had everything we needed in the room. The area that the hotel is located in is fantastic. There are tons of restaurants, shopping, and attractions nearby. This is the perfect location to stay in while in Lisbon. We will definitely be back!!
