Only book this if you are desperate

We had to book in at another hotel as this hotel was awful. The man at reception had no manners, he was rude. The hotel was a horrible condition, there were dirty marks on the headboards, everything was worn out and scruffy. The room was so hot you were sweating the minute you walked in and the window was open. The room smelled of smoking.

Very small room, overly warm with no way to cool down, tiny shower, no bathroom ventilation and ceiling light fell down one evening.

Does the job

Fair for the price. TV didn't work. Shower flooded. Kettle hard to fill (doesn't fit under sink). Location great, only 10 min to kings cross. Clean and good night sleep.

The room is basic, clean, bed was comfortable enough for a 2 night stay. My room was at the rear of the property so very quiet. No aircon but a fan was provided and that was adequate. Plenty of pubs around and walking distance to Kings Cross station. Overall good stay and good location.

Staff were friendly but the property itself is a bit basic. The walls may be thin as I could hear people next door, above me and in the corridor. There was no air conditioning, though a fan was provided but it was an uncomfortable night. Fairly cheap for London so possibly can’t expect a lot and the staff seemed quite helpful.

Really nice for the price

I have to admit, I was REALLY pleasantly surprised with the hotel, especially being as cheap as it was. The room was small/compact but it’s perfect if you’re just needing somewhere to put your head down for the night. The only things I’d say that really let it down is the water pressure in the shower, fairly thin walls and no aircon but for the price, can’t really grumble. Would definitely be a return customer if I find myself in the city again.

Ok for one night

Arrived ahead of check in time and we were able to leave our bags. Didn't return until 11pm to check - reception is 24 hours. We were on the third floor which was served by a lift. Room decor was tired and dated as was the flooring. Only one electric socket. Some issues with the water to the basin. The shower was woeful unfortunately. Was fine for one night and wasn't the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

This is an excellent value for your money stay. Please keep in mind they have a low nightly cost so don’t expect the finest of everything. That being said 5* staff, helpful, courteous and more than willing to give you advice or directions. We stayed in a Quad room and though it was smaller it housed all our luggage and was a clean safe place to rest our heads at night and get cleaned up!
