Very Very Small

The room was so small - we were a family of 5 staying in a family room but the room was so small that you had to stay sitting on the beds so that one person could get to the bathroom. There was no space for our bags even though we only had a carry on and personal bag each. We are all thin so it had nothing to do with our size. The room was uncomfortable at best. The room was very clean.

This is a 3 star hotel and at this rating, the hotel is value for money. It's in a great location and it has the reception desk manned 24/7 together with which, they will store your luggage before and after check in/out.

Stayed at the Athena many times during visits to London. Its in a great location and we always enjoy our stay. My only criticism is that they have now stopped serving full English breakfast and only offer continental for an additional charge.

The staff were present and available. I was very grateful for the location, both in nearness to Paddington station and also for the lovely and generally quiet tree-lined lane that runs parallel to the larger road. Our room was supported well by air conditioning, which we selected specifically for that reason after flying in from Portugal and as London was having quite warm temps, however, because it is below the main office (I believe) there was thumping noises on the ceiling ALL NIGHT literally. This made for a lack of much needed sleep before our trans-Atlantic flight.

Convenient to anywhere. Clean and staff friendly offering check out baggage storage with no charge. A little pity is that Five nights stay but the room floor was not cleaned thoroughly in the small size of the room. A soap is only given one for long stay. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

The staff is incredibly nice and very easy to work with if you have any problems, the size of the room and bathroom are quite small for the price per night and having the power cut out on my final night wasn't ideal, but otherwise it was a great stay!

Hotel with a good value for money, breakfast cheap

The value for money for a hotel of this standard in London was quite good, with very welcoming and accommodating staff. The only improving point is the quality of the breakfast (no scrambled eggs, low-quality industrial products, ...). It would be better to offer a slightly more expensive but better-quality breakfast.

Paddington is a convenient location, underground, bars and restaurants. If you are used to American hotels this will be very small. My room was about $200 per which was the original reason I choose this property. This is my second time staying here so I must think it's good.
