Friendly and helpful staff, comfort and quiet hotel, just it takes 10 min walk to underground station, stuff for kitchen all included like (salt,pepper,spones,nifes even dish wash soap within),they have lift in hotel, laundry not included it takes 3 min walk.

Great to have the small kitchen

I have stayed here a few times and like it. Nice quiet location yet close to places to eat and buy food. Room was lower ground floor so a bit dark. Stronger lighting would be nice Perfect if you are staying for a few days and dont always want to eat out. Great rates on ebookers means a family can stay for a reasonable amount

Home away from home

We were in London for a family trip to legoland and decided to spend some days sightseeing as well. Bayswater was a great location, with wonderful transport links. Lovely picturesque area, but best of all very friendly, helpful staff at The Cleveland. We highly recommend The Cleveland and look forward to staying there again in the future.

Nice hotel in a good location

Nice hotel located near Bayswater. Room was on first floor, spotlessly clean and comfortable. There was a kitchenette area which we didnt use. Shower was powerful and always warm. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. We used Queensway tube station to get around which is 4-5 minutes walk away and with plenty of restaurants, shops etc. Only fault with the hotel is we could hear our neighbours both upstairs and around us. Whether it was just the fact they were early risers or thin walls we were awoken early each morning so wasn't ideal for a lie on. Maybe a room higher up would have been better. Wifi worked well all the time we used it. Other than that a very enjoyable stay.

Good for a night

This was a good experience where everything was as expected and everything worked! The amenities of the 'kitchenette' were very good. I needed a quiet space and this fitted the bill. Staff were efficient. My recommendation would be based on needed a comfortable and clean place for the night. For other requirements, such as a closer proximity to a tube station or having public areas of a hotel then one would look elsewhere.

Good Choice

We chose this hotel , based upon its value for money based upon a 4 star hotel in a convenient location. It more than lived up to our expectations. The only negative was our room was on the top floor , there was a lift for part of the way then stairs. Room was spotless , service excellent. The room was for 3 of us and the fold down sofa was easy to use and comfortable. The built in kitchenette was great. Very convenient for several tube stations and shops at Bayswater. Good Choice , would be happy to use again.

Room With No View - but....still a treat

Last minute booking through e-Bookers - and what a find! 10 minute walk from Paddington station - apparently same distance from two Central line stations. Room was a good size, bathroom much bigger than the usual hotel bathroom, big double wardrobe - but it was what was behind the other door that was the real hidden gem. A kitchen! Well, kitchenette. Hob, microwave, sink. All perfectly clean and tidy. Staff were very helpful. I have already recommended this place to a friend. Very impressed and will definitely choose this hotel first next time I overnight in town. Having said that, I shall be lucky if it isn't full after this review! ;-)

Good Value for London Prices

My partner and I stayed at The Cleveland in December 2010 for a weekend break. The Cleveland was pretty central had good tube connections. We printed directions from google maps and it was very easily found. The hotel also has a lot of amenities near by! The room was smaller than expected but still cosy enough for two and the kitchenette was a great addition. Our visit came during the coldest spell last winter and we were looking forward to snuggling up in a nice warm room (our boiler had just broken at home!!) Unfortunately, the hotel's heating had also broken and we were left with a small heater to plug in to keep us warm!! Surprisingly this little machine really heated the room well so all was not lost! Helpful staff on reception pointed us in the right direction a couple of times and were always willing to help!

Excellent Self-Catering Accommodation

3Tube stations in easy reach, frequent and excellent bus routes into city centre or if you prefered a nice pleasant stroll this could be done within minutes from the Hotel.This was our first trip self -catering and would use again with-out hesitation.
