I had a lovely stay at this hotel, it is after all a budget hotel, so it is not the Ritz, but it doesn't claim to be. The staff were friendly, kind, and very helpful. it was very well positioned for Paddington Station, lots of local shops and eateries, and Hyde Park on the doorstep. I was very concerned as I normally stay with a big chain and you just don't know what you are going to get, but for teh price I paid, at relatively short notice it was perfect. I was on the third floor, and the upper stairs are quite steep, I would not have said that this is a hotel for someone with mobility issues.
Friendly and helpful staff. Room was small but well kept. Close to 2 subway stations and walkable distance to many historical attractions. Breakfast was surprisingly good for a small hotel.
We needed a hotel that was convenient to Paddington railway station after returning from an holiday abroad and this fitted the bill. 10 minute walk to station. It would also be a good place to stay if visiting London .Nice simple continental breakfast.
Only criticism would be the beds which were very hard and only a thin pillow
Everything was good and comfortable, the only problem we had was our room was on the 3rd floor and there's NO Elevator, I am 66yrs old with a heart condition, so I wasn't happy about that.
Could not fault the staff who were very polite and engaging. However, the hotels facilities are poor - especially in the room. I was not expecting luxury, but a radiator hanging off the wall and not working in the winter is not the greatest. The hotel was full so you could not get another room, I would have rather have been refunded my room and told to go elsewhere. The room was not cleaned - bed sheets changed, dirty towels removed, etc. They did offer breakfast but you’d have to reserve a slot - this I liked! There’s also no-one on the desk after 10, and when you have screaming neighbours it’s not the best. Wouldn’t stay again and would not recommend to anyone - even despite being in a great location.
Good value, small hotel. On a great location near transport hub, shopping, short ride from major attractions and parks. Although the rooms are small they were comfortable. Free breakfast was a bonus. Great for a short stay.
No elevator and was assigned a room on the 3rd floor having booked for months ahead with 2 kids. The reception also serves as the dining area. The room was so hot even with 2 table fans. The windows cannot be opened because flies swarm the room a few times we did. The plastic bathroom is so small that you can hardly shower without hitting the wall. ☹️
Nice clean room and serving fairly good breakfast. Have to carry the luggage ourselves, luckily only to the first floor. Close enough to Paddington for easy travel to the City and Heathrow airport. Thomas, the New Zealander staff is very friendly and helpful, he even warmed up the croissant for the breakfast. i do recommend this hotel as the price is reasonable.
