Stayed with my teenage son for 4 nights. Upon arrival it felt like a timetravel since the rooms were so outdated, whick was kind of fun at first. For its value very pricy but the location was excellent and my son liked the breakfast a lot and was happy with everything, therefore the third star. However, I would not recommend this hotel for anyone. The hotel desperately needs a proper renovation or at least a decent facelifting. Staff was fairly ok.

Older hotel, short walk from Paddington Station. Staff was friendly, place was clean. One elevator. An English Breakfast was included every morning from 7 to 9. My only complaint was the beds were hard and pillows flat. Could use bed toppers to make beds more comfortable. Other than that, it's a decent hotel. There's no air conditioning, but we were fine in early August without. A fan is in the room if needed.

Walking distance to Paddington Station. But the rooms are old, bed was lumpy, poor airflow, stuffy. Ultra basic almost dormitory level. Staff were very friendly at the front desk but other than location and friendly staff overall would not recommend staying here if you’re looking for a clean, comfy and cozy place.

Loved the location which is why we booked it. Price is also reasonable. This is comparable to hotel rooms in London, all quite small. I found it a little run down as well. But overall I think it was a fine place for the price because the proximity to Paddington makes up for a lot.

Convenient hotel in terms of location - close to Paddington Station, Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens and Little Venice. Staff were helpful. Good English breakfast included. This hotel is very old. That makes it quaint but I wouldn’t call it comfortable. The single beds were hard and the double bed was lumpy. The rooms are small and dated, and the elevator is slow. Everything is functional, though — it seems carefully maintained — and it’s clean. The staff are very warm and kind. Two big plus points are the convenient location near Paddington Station, and the generous breakfast which is included in the overall affordable (for London) price.

Excellent hotel.

Reception was very friendly & informative, all staff very friendly & very helpful. Breakfast was excellent table service, hot full English. The rooms were very clean & the beds were comfortable. Good location with a short walk to the tube. Will definitely stay here again.

Reception staff were lovely. However there were a few issues. Our bathroom door had a puece missing from the bottom and there were the sharp end of nails sticking out which was quite dangerous. Not once but twice I had housekeeping just open the room door while I was in the room. No knocking first which I thought was appalling and made me feel that I had no privacy. This happened both days we were there. Breakfast was interesting. Someone serves you everything from drinks and cereals to hot breakfast. The first morning my cornflakes didnt even fill up half the bowl. The 2nd morning my husband was left for 20 minutes waiting for his full english breakfast while other guests that ordered after us were served theirs. So he had cold toast to go with his long awaited breakfast.
