I traveled for business and my flight had me in early Sunday morning. With ease, they allowed early check in and the junior suite was perfect to accommodate a week-long stay for one. The restaurants were all nice but sometimes hard to access as they are popular after work drink spots. There wasn't room service, which was fine with me but one night the restaurants were too crowded so I made due with crisps from the mini bar! Overall....clean room, friendly staff, convenient location for work, great drinks and restaurants ambiance.

The room was clean and the view was great. Some of the staff were brilliant (thanks, Jolo Antonio!) and others seemed very inexperienced. I was very frustrated that the sauna was broken and unusable, and this wasn’t mentioned anywhere in advance — I literally came to use the sauna and spa, so I would’ve come another time. Given the star rating of the hotel it was also a shame that the spa facilities weren’t better managed in terms of numbers (they were so full and noisy, with occasional shrieking and yelling, which was a shame; it would’ve helped to request that guests were quiet in the spa area). It was very disappointing that I asked several people for decaf coffee but no one could procure any during my stay. Overall, a really disappointing experience given the hotel’s star rating.

The room was a bit worn out. The twin bed set up which we requested wasn't ready when we arrived. It took a while for is to check in. The carpet in the room and the fact that the windows can not be open meant lack of fresh air for me in the room. It wasn't good for my allergies at all.

My jewellery got stolen at the hotel by someone that had entered the room and had been through all of our belongings and the hotel says that no one entered when someone full well did because the cleaner has been in as the bed was made and they was a laundry bag which wasn’t there before I am not happy at all and won’t be staying at any Montcalm hotels ever again you do not go and stay in any hotel and expect anybody to go through your belongings it isn’t on nor professional nor fair

Lovely hotel, room was great as was the bar. However I had several mosquitos in my room, after jumping around killing 3/4 of them, I still got woken up at 4am by one buzzing around me and have spent the days after itching several mosquitos bites up my arm 😔
