The good: the staff were incredible. Antonio at the front desk especially was wonderful and tried to be as helpful as possible. The bad: a rat appeared in my room from somewhere near the window and radiator so there must have been a hole. When I came running out they told me “it’s gone now so you’re fine”. Not sure how that’s a solution. I asked to be moved to another room or one of their sister hotels, unfortunately no space. But considering I booked this through Expedia, they should have helped me. They were rude, demeaning and very difficult to get support from. Although in the end I did get support, I’ll say Expedia was less than ideal about this situation. The hotel staff, again, were great. Except for one grumpy night shift guy who claimed I was making it up for a room upgrade. But I had just received an upgrade because my first room had flies coming into it from the sink. So why would I “allege” there was a rat in my nice upgraded room? Makes no sense.

Reception staff very helpful and polite on arrival. Checked in without issue. Room has seen better days, curtains are torn, windows draught, and a dressing table but no chair to sit at it. No fridge in room and tea/coffee just enough for one night needed to ask for more. Noisy people staying in next room so not a good sleep. Good location but overall I expected better

Disappointed with my stay here. Here to work for a few days. Stayed in a single room that was tiny in the basement with no natural light. Tv and phone didn’t work initially. Phone got fixed. Maintenance couldn’t fix tv. Elevator very slow and room was not ready at check in time until an hour later. Would definitely NOT stay here again on my next trip to London.

Stay was worst hotel we’ve ever stayed up. Room was very small, bed uncomfortable, duet did not cover the full bed. Radiator hanging off wall, half shower door hanging off. Generator outside room making noise all through the night. Some stuff on staff office opposite room where staff were very loud from 7am. Only good point was the location. At best this hotel is a 2*

I rarely leave reviews but feel compelled to warn others about Park Grand Hyde Park. We booked a room with two double beds for our family of four, but on arrival were given only three beds. Reception was unhelpful, claiming no other rooms were available. After much chasing, we were finally offered an extra bed, which took ages to arrive—by then our children were already asleep together. The first mattress brought was wet and had to be replaced, with staff clearly unhappy about it. The manager twice promised a 20% refund for our trouble. On checkout, we were told the refund would be processed via hotels.com, but after returning home and contacting them, we were refused because we didn’t have the staff member’s name. Both the hotel and hotels.com have since refused to honor the refund, and the hotel has been impossible to contact. The hotel itself is tired and in poor repair—ripped wallpaper, a wardrobe door just propped against the frame which is a complete hazard in a family room, and I even discovered mouldy mattresses under the sheets in our room which I unfortunately only discovered on our last day. The mezzanine floor was uneven and unsafe. I am extremely disappointed in hotels.com for not helping us and for advertising this as a four-star hotel when it is clearly not. Do not book this hotel. We paid a lot of money to stay here and could not have been more disappointed in our stay.

Great economic stay. Rooms are okay. Room heater did not worked but was warm enough when slept. Highly recommended if you are looking to stay at cheapest rate in the central area with train station in 3mins walk.
