The hotel bar was magnificent! Hands down one of the best old fashioneds I’ve ever had. Expresso martinis were also great. Staff as helpful and friendly. Rooms can be updated a bit but overall I had a good and comfortable stay.

Very clean and comfortable room with everything I needed. Reception staff pleasant and helpful. Location good and nice park opposite the hotel. I was at front of the property facing the road. Traffic noise can be hard even though window was shut. Shower pressure was low

Good location

We chose this hotel for an overnight stay when going to the theatre. The hotel is near to a good tube link. Our twin room overlooked the park area opposite and the beds were comfy. The room wasnt huge but was ok for one night & had wardrobe hanging. The downside was the tiny seperate toilet / bathroom set up. There was limited space in both areas & no basin in the toilet so if someone was using bathroom there is nowhere to wash your hands! The hotel staff were friendly & helpful. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choice. The hotel lounge / bar area has lots of seating & comfy chairs for a relaxing drink. We enjoyed our stay.

Tavistock Hotel

Hotel in great location. Tube station 5min walk but can also walk to many places. The room (327) was not ideal for 2 people. Hardly any wardrobe space. Bathroom was compact. No fridge especially as it was very warm this particular weekend. Could do with some nets on the window as it faced a block of offices & we had to keep the curtains closed, again, not ideal on such a warm weekend. The staff were lovely, both on reception and in the bar. Would stay here again, but on a solo trip as the room was too small for 2 friends.

We received great service from the staff. We had a problem with our room the first night, we arrived late and received a room that was extremely small and next to a night club that played loud music until 2 am. Staff were accommodating and moved us to a much better room the following day. We really appreciated the way they addressed the problem. We had no problems with the room they offered, it was more spacious and quiet. The bathroom was still extremely small, but clean and the hotel is in a great location.

The property is central to most everything you need to go in London. Staff are friendly and ready to assist anytime. Special thanks to their operations mgr for such treatment for my wife's birthday. The room is upgraded and has everything you need. Can't compare to modern ones since this is an older hotel. But all I can say this property is clean. Their breakfast area is great with good choice of food. I recommend adding their breakfast package. All in all, me and my wife were a satisfied customer.

Had a fabulous stay in this hotel. Rooms were smallish but comforatable with enough space for me and my belongings. There was a cute park across the street and we were walking distance from SoHo/several excellent sights. Also walking distance from multiple bus stops and tube stations.
