Overall, positive but still in transition or I would have given it more stars. Guest should be a pre-war history lover with budget in mind. Rooms still carpeted, no refrigerator, etc and don't commit to brekkies unless you're an early riser, as they start clearing the continental early. Definitely dog friendly, fantastic for dogs in Hyde Park.

Was in a good quiet neighborhood. Room was clean but a little small and shower was not good. Hotel was dated, not much amenities, overpriced breakfast and drinks.

The staff were incredibly friendly, plus they gave us a free room upgrade. The beds… fantastic, it was a dream come true. They were so comfy, we didn’t want to get out of it. Despite facing the main road, it was so nice and quiet, you wouldn’t believe there’s a bus stop outside. The continental breakfast was ok, it was a nice selection (but we’re biased to a full cooked breakfast). The hotel is very nice and pretty (loved the reception area) the only slight downfall, is the bathroom and corridors need updating but otherwise it is a great place to stay and would 100% stay there again!

Some inconveniences due to the age of the building, such as low water pressure. However, these are more than made up for by the excellent staff. They are always helpful and friendly. The location with the Lancaster Gate right there is wonderful! I would happily return!

Fairly inexpensive, close to a lot of diverse restaurants, within a 1-2 mile walking distance of a lot of touristy things. Across the street from a huge park but beware allergies! I would say the hotel bathrooms need an upgrade but the beds were fabulous. Older furniture and wear/tear of the room but didn't prevent us from having a good time.

Great expirience overall

We had a great time. The location was incredible and the staff very friendly. As the hotel is old, our floor cracked a lot as we walk ( or the neighbors). You coul also ear through the walls, so I do not recomend if you are a light-sleeper.

Hotel was great! Very close to all you needed and staff very helpful! Could do with air con in the rooms however - but that staff did supply us with a fan. Was a very hot day mind.
