Disgusting staff ! TURNED OFF OUR ELECTRIC TO SPEED UP CHECK OUT ! This place seemed ok when booked but for me and my young family it was terrible as soon as we arrived . No wifi working ! Dangerous room(electrics showing) Not a family room with young kids with a full opening window on the fourth floor (dangerous) Staff kept promising improvements but empty promises! Continental breakfast is from Aldi rubbish! No ac !! No fans !! Staff constantly going in rooms when guests not present ! Neighbouring hotels very noises , people constantly drinking outside very intimidating walking past . Kettle was absolutely filthy! Summery : Do not stay here ! There are other better quality hotels to stay at . DONT RUIN YOUR HOLIDAY .

Worst experience

We had booked the family room for 1 night , we were family of 5. The room was in basement, no ac, can’t open windows, there was standing fan which was throwing air at 27deg C, when asked for different fan, he said that’s the only option , and he said he uses same fan, when I asked to show he uses much premium fan where we can adjust temperature. It’s next to train track, every time a train goes the room vibrates, almost every 10 min a train passes, imagine horrible night we had. Breakfast was very basic delivered to room, a packet of juice, biscuit, 1 bread and jam, a snack, a yougurt.

The staff are all VERY nice, and they do respond to issues. There is NO AIR CONDITIONING, though there was a fan in the room. There is a mini fridge in the room which is great - though it had no temp adjustment and froze our water and milk. They deliver a basket of croissants/buns, yogurt, juice, butter & marmalade, cookies/snack bar to the room for breakfast at the time you specify, and they were nice to supply that in the evening when we were leaving before 8:00 in the morning. There is a safe in the room, but it didn't work so they gave us an override physical key to keep during our 5 night stay. The TV remote had corroded batteries in it, they replaced them and it turned on the TV and changed channels but it did not turn off the TV so we had go to the power button on the TV to turn it off. The room looked nothing like any of the photos on Expedia, much darker and smaller. It was a tiny double bed (and was uncomfortable for two small adults). Our biggest problem however was that the WIFI DIDN'T WORK, it would connect for a moment then turn off on both our devices over and over again - it was impossible to use in that room, and they were not able to correct it. We wound burning thru our cellular data on our eSIM in order to access the internet, email, WhatsApp, etc. A great location for Paddinton Station and the metros. All in all, I wished we had balked at the room and asked for another or stayed elsewhere (I'm not a 'make waves' kind of person, but wish I had).

The area around the hotel is ok ; close to the metro and with a lot of restaurants just a few minutes walk. The room was very small for 3 adults but clean enough and with a private bathroom. We can hear the metro in the bedroom but we accomodate. The staff brings you the breakfast at your door because there is no breakfast room in the hotel. So you don't have the choice of what you eat...

Basic Room

Basic small room, with tiny En-suite. Very handy for the tube, but you can also feel the tube. Ok for a base to do stuff in London, but don't bring too much stuff with you as it won't fit.

Upon arrival we were told we had been upgraded and walked 5mins from hotel to a flat. I and my three young's son were walked to a basement flat. There was an awful smell from the kitchenette, like a deep damp. It was late and we were desperate for a place to lay down. We kept the door closed and placed towel at base of door to contain the over pouring smell of damp. The TVs were all smart TVs and did not work. In addition, breakfast was late and we had to call to check when it would be delivered, being told the hotel was understaffed. We eventually walked to the reception to collect ourselves but there was no one available. The continental breakfast was a bag of mini-cheddars, a couple of store bought brioches and chocolate mini rolls, very disappointing. Although the staff of duty tried his best to attend and help, our stay was made miserable by awful smells and an awkward basement stay not as we had originally booked. There was no communication prior to arrival nor was there any words to apologise for this very inconvenient and downgrading change.

The stay was ok. It was clean and staff was very friendly. Breakfast was slightly better than we thought it would be. The pressure in the shower could be better and the temperature of the water was not the best, but nothing that we could not cope with.

Travelled for business. Basic and comfortable, but not completely clean, and the bathroom appeared to have a broken drain. No secure luggage storage, and it's soon obvious the hotel is above the tube line. Ironing board available on request, but was a rusty old thing with no cover and the iron stained my shirt a little. Overall I'd strongly recommend avoiding for anything but a cheap lads' holiday until the owners renovate.

They provide a continental breakfast brought to your room. Mini fridge in room and kettle to heat wayer. The shower head could be located higher. I'm 5'3" and still had to duck down. There is not lift/elevator so if you have issues using stairs do not stay here. Very close to Paddington station, Hyde Park, restaurants, bars, and stores.

Probably the worst hotel we have stayed in.

We booked Tony’s House, but on arrival were moved to the Dolphin next door. The room looked nothing like the photo advertised and the bathroom was ridiculously small. We climbed 3 v steep stairs. Reception staff, friendly, breakfast staff did not acknowledge us. Basic, small, but clean room. There was a loud generator type noise. We had to move the bed into the middle of the room so we could both get in and out without climbing over the other. That meant moving the small table and chair to block the door and hanging space. The bathroom was tiny, we are small people, anyone “large” would not be able to use it. The breakfast was limited, but OK. Cramped dining room. The underground runs underneath. If your room was in the basement you would hear it.
