Nice property, we had one issue with the door lock battery and getting someone to help took a while plus the tv wouldn’t work after a few hours and had to be reset. Overall the stay was nice, rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable and the all inclusive feature was nice.

Loved everything about this property-except the big issue with seaweed. Clearly, there is not much the hotel can do about a natural problem in the area. Ocean Maya had non-stop workers trying to address the seaweed problem but it is an uphill battle. The hotel is lovely, staff is nice, food was delicious!

We loved that wildlife roamed around and could be seen actively throughout the resort. The staff were extremely helpful and respectful. We wish the smoking section had more accessibility points other than the one from the pool area.

From Philly first time out the country I would highly recommend this resort very affordable but the experience is beautiful very peaceful! drinks lit the buffet mid definitely going back tho the jets ski right on you beach

We had a lovely visit. The staff were friendly and professional and the grounds were lush and walkable. I would say the pools need cleaning and updating but other than that everything was great. The pool restaurant wasn’t great food wise but all of the other restaurants were good especially the buffet. The rooms were very clean and the bed was comfortable. I was hoping for little bottles of liquor in the fridge but the drinks were always available at the bars so that wasn’t a big deal. The beach cleanup staff was always working hard to clear the sargassum and we had a few days of clear beach which was wonderful. One thing I didn’t like was multiple people always walking around trying to sell you events, massages, jewelry, and photography. I was constantly having to tell sales people no thank you. That was annoying especially when I’m just trying to enjoy my time and relax. I didn’t mind the little shops on property but the people walking along the beach on the property and the pools was excessive. Overall for the price, such a great deal!

The absolute best part of this resort is their incredible staff - specifically, Kendell! He makes sure that every single person feels welcome and has a great time. We visited here for the first time in May and had so much fun with Kendell we booked again in July. We will keep coming back as long as Kendell is there! Didn’t feel warm welcome at all when we walked in. Too small and limited choice of dining. Buffet restaurant food is good and their home made bread is good. When we asked for upgrade for gold member, they don’t understand not care and we don’t bother to explain. Also we found a mid size of cockroach in our bedroom which freak me out whole night. When we told the receptionist, no apologize nor anyone contact us but sending a fellow to spray pesticides. Pool is good size n clean but again no lunch option. Food is bad in the restaurant around the pool. No air condition in the Teppan Japanese food, buffet and pool side restaurant has very poor air conditioning. We sweated almost every meal, especially morning that I cannot enjoy with these type of hot environment. Overall is the worst experience I’ve ever been Mexico. Definitely not return and the hotel doesn’t deserve 5 star and they dont provide bottle water in any restaurant and the pool. Very disappointed vacation! Also the car transfer makes us wait for so long and circle around to pick up other passengers, 20 min ride literally took 50 min to get there.

We had a great time at Ocean Maya with our friends and family. It was a great option for a big group of us. The ocean had a lot of seaweed when we went in June but the pool area was fun! They had activities throughout the day that were fun to participate in with a lively staff. The drinks were great and the food was good!
