Wonderful facility, extremely clean, plenty of employees covering buffets, bars, cleaning staff. Beach was cleaned of seaweed daily. I wish the water was clearer but that’s no fault of the hotel.

We had a very pleasant stay here at Riu Playacar! Our room had a balcony and would recommend it 100%. The staff is very friendly and attentive, our room service was great and of course everything outdoors was very clean. When in Cancun previously my husband and I stayed at Riu Riviera Maya and that was top tier but this time we traveled with family so I chose Playacar for the value. The customer service was 3 out of 10 and the food was a 7 out of 10. This property had no elevator and the towels hanging outside of the rooms was giving Myrtle Beach. I pretty much got what I paid for and that was nobody’s fault but mine. I would not recommend this property
