Overall great vacation with our 2 children ages 2 and 6 but want to make other parents aware of hand foot and mouth disease contracted between October 28, 2025 and November 4, 2025 at the resort. Our children were told they were only allowed 1 straw per day in their drinks at the pool bar and weren’t allowed to use their pool floaties in the bigger pool with us, but other children and adults were allowed theirs and other children were allowed to jump into the pool and into their parents arms but we were told no by a specific life guard. Also be aware - the workers doing service on smoke detectors in the room went into our fridge and drank a Coca Cola and left pop all over the floor.

The rooms were great and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Tony.. tony is a character... not the funny kind. So he had me and my boyfriend sign up for an hour long time share type thing in exchange for a tequila tour and spa.. so we did it... the time share thing..said no.. no problem.. but when it came to the tour.. the tour was an hour late.. it was my birthday that we set it up on... and they never showed.i asked tony before it was time for the tour if we were in the right spot and he said he said yes they were coming.. they never did. Somw martha lady showed up an hour an a half later stating she never knew we were suppose to go on this tour... ok.. so there was miscommunication between tony and martha... martha then said she would take us out on the next tour day.. and she again..never showed. So tony got us lol. We did a time share presentation just for me to pay 50$ for a spa day.. Other than this big mishap... it was a great stay. Juss... dont believe tony when he says stuff

Loved the resort layout and food options. The buffet was wonderful. We liked most of the a la carte, it depends on what you order. Funny enough the Italian one was just ok, in my opinion. Staff was attentive, busy at times. Rooms fine. We had a nice ocean view. While there, we were side swiped by a hurricane, brought some large waves. The resort was fine, as were on a small cliff. Bottom line, I’d go back, however not cheap or easy to get into town if you want to leave resort. Oh and this was the first all inclusive where we had to book and pay for our own transportation there from the airport.

I liked the beautiful pool by the beach. I was disappointed about the ocean view from my balcony, the only thing I could see was the wall. The room had a weird smell. I made a reservation for three nights but I decided to go to another resort after the first night. I wanted to go to the buffet for breakfast but there was a very long line. I have been to several resorts and this is the first time I had to get in line to have breakfast. I couldn’t sleep the night that I spent there because there were service carts going back and forth in the hallway, very noisy. The Expedia concierge did a great job trying to find me a better room although the resort was not what I was expecting.

We booked this Punta Mita resort through Expedia expecting a 5-star experience, but what we got was anything but. Our 9-year-old was supposed to sleep on the sofa bed, which turned out to be broken and infested with bugs. When we called the front desk, we were told someone would come to “verify” — but after 40 minutes, no one arrived. Instead, they tried to dismiss it as “seasonal” and even asked if we had brought food into the room. Meanwhile, bugs were flying around and my child had nowhere safe to sleep. At nearly midnight, after multiple calls and being shuffled around, we were told the resort would not issue a refund “because you booked through Expedia.” A manager never came, and staff showed zero urgency or hospitality. We were even pressured to sign a form stating our early departure wasn’t the resort’s fault — which we refused. Exhausted and upset, we checked out the same day we arrived and paid out of pocket for another hotel. We did not stay a single night. Expedia has yet to step up, telling us repeatedly to wait for the resort’s approval. Expedia should take responsibility to resolve this matter instead of leaving it solely to the property. After booking 50+ trips with Expedia, I am shocked at the lack of support. I paid for a safe, habitable resort stay, and none was provided. This was a clear health and safety issue. We lost money, time, and trust. Avoid this resort, and reconsider using Expedia if you expect them to protect you when things go wrong.

Besides a great view of their beach, the resort needs an overall corrections! Some of their restaurants roofs were leaking when rain was coming! The pedestrian passages thru the buildings and outsides were dirty and their ambience filled with bad smell! The given bedrooms were not cleaned thoroughly. We didn’t feel comfortable living in them. The variety of food selections were very limited and the taste and quality of foods were very poor. And because of its distance from city and lack of souvenirs stores, we had a hard time going anywhere to roam around. And finally, travelling to the purchased attractions and back were separate from their cost of expensive attractions! we’re not going back!

Would not recommend this hotel It is expensive and it's not a 5 star hotel. They need to learn what is a good service and a good experience for their clients. Don't have enough people to provide a quality service. You have to wait more than an hour to get a table at any of the restaurants. We overpaid to get a premium or VIP service and we did not receive any additional benefit on that upgrade. Very disappointing experience.

I enjoyed the property, especially the forest, the beach area, the views, and the feeling of being surrounded by nature. That was my favorite part of the stay. The food options were fine, though not outstanding. One thing I did not like was that the restaurants had no air conditioning, so every meal was uncomfortably hot and I was sweating heavily. This made dining there inconvenient.
