Starting with check in, we arrived around 4pm and we were really hungry. We let the welcome staff know that we were hungry, but they still took a long time to go over the rules and amenities. He also tried to get us to go to a timeshare breakfast a couple of times during our stay. After our hour long check in the only option for dinner at that time was at the Piazzetta dei Forni, which wasn’t bad, except for all the birds that stole my son’s pizza. The rooms were fine, except that the bathroom and shower have glass doors with just a little bit of privacy glass in the middle. My three boys shared a room with their older sister and privacy was difficult to get. They had to use a towel in between for more privacy. The beds were on the firm side, and the ceiling fan in one of our rooms was abnormally loud. Maid service was hit and miss with one of our rooms not getting cleaned one of the days. To eat at the premium restaurants you have to have VIP access. Besides the buffet, pizza, and poolside restaurants there are three restaurants that are included with the all inclusive, you have to make reservations for two of the three from 9am to 3pm near the front. Desk. Amalfi (Italian) and silk (Japanese ). When we tried to make reservations most of them were full and we had to settle for later times, or different days. There are no reservations needed for La Pergola(Mexican) but its first come first served. All three dining options were mediocre. Beach and pool were 👍. Shows lame.

We were really looking forward to our stay because the room and the view were genuinely nice — that part we enjoyed. Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the price or expectations. Our room keys did work, and we had to go to the front desk twice before someone finally came to help on the third try. We also didn’t have enough towels for our group. One of the most disappointing moments was at the pizza bar — we sat and waited patiently, and even though the staff member made eye contact with us multiple times, we were never acknowledged or helped. We were also told we qualified for a late checkout, but our keys were deactivated right at 12 PM even though we had asked earlier if we needed to do anything else. Overall, the room was nice, but the way several staff members treated us made the stay less enjoyable. I hope this helps improve service for future guests.

Stayed here for 7 days with the family (group of 15). We had a lovely time. As with any hotel, there were some pros and cons. Pros: excellent tennis courts. Great condition and highly under-utilized. Could always get onto a court. This was probably because the pickleball courts were so busy! There were regular tennis lessons (see the schedule posted below). Ricky was our instructor. He was great. Food at the buffet was pretty good. Always fresh. We did not have trouble with long lineups as we went to breakfast before 9am. However, after 9am there were very long lines to get in for a meal. The gym was large. Equipment old and a bit tired but it was well equipped. Regular pilates, yoga and spin classes offered. There was regular beach volleyball and free boogie boards available. There were also shuffleboards, life size chess, table tennis, and mini golf. Beach was clean, and great for long walks and swimming. Two days the red flags were out but you were still permitted to swim. Overall, service at the resort was good. Friendly staff. Cons: twice we booked for a La carte dining. These experiences were awful. Both times, the food took over 2 hours to arrive. We dined at Silk and even after a 2 hour wait we were delivered hard, undercooked noodles and rice. It seems that the staff and kitchens struggle with serving groups. One of the people in our group did get sick for 4 days from something that was served at the restaurant, we think Mai Thai or

When we first arrived we were given the wrong room, we were switched the next day but they had wanted us to checkout of the room at 12 and check back in, with 2 kids under 5 we said absolutely not. For this error we were given a pass to Mai Tia which was for members only, the service was extremely slow. The grounds were very slippery when wet and lots of wipes were seen, thankfully non from us. The Buffett was ok, nothing special. The AC unit in our living room dripped like crazy if you left the door open at all. They had a restaurant that was open for breakfast 6 days a week, which was great! The new silk restaurant was amazing and had great food! Most staff were friendly and the grounds were kept clean

Everything was good, but the hotel lost big points in our rating at check in and checkout. It was the first hotel we stayed at in the past 10 years that required extra payment (CAD100) for us to be able to eat at the buffet after our check out at 12pm and until our shuttle was supposed to pick us up at 4pm. They were also not straightforward about it when we asked a couple of days in advance, very dismissive in the information they offered. They could have given us much better information at the "welcome" info session as well, when their main goal was to convince us to attend some sale pitch the next day. They wasted 30 minutes of our time and didn't even end up poiting us to the right direction to our room. Good stay overall and it's a shame that they risk their reputation with small details like this. Don't think we'll be going back.

My family stayed at Marival Emotions for a week (including 2 kids and 2 grandparents). The staff was phenomenal and were happy to help us with our Spanish! The kids club was excellent and included time at the beach and the pool. There were lots of activities including ping pong, tennis, pickleball, shuffleboard, etc. The food was decent with lots of options including a kids buffet. We loved our week there and would go back!
