Resort was well maintained, it is definitely due for some updates but it was clean. Pool areas were clean with great lifeguard staff. Buffets/restaurants had great food, lots of choices and every night there were different themed foods ( but they still had their regular choices which was great for my picky kiddo). rooms were cleaned well and also need some updates but were so comfortable! Bars were well stocked. Lots of daily activities and things to do. Our heroes were the kids club staff. my 8 year old wanted to go every day. He is shy so thay says a lot! He came home with crafts and would tell us about the million things they did all day. they would include the kids in the evening shows too which was so neat! Overall most staff looked like they loved their jobs and truly wanted to be there, which creates such a great experience. I felt like the staff went out of their way to help you and get to know you. Lots of way to pick people out there right now giving the food bad reviews, the buffet is huge and the place is busy so food is going to run out and get restocked in a timely manner. We did buy bands the last two days to try out the other resorts buffets and pools. They had different foods but less options and longer lines. pools were same just different shapes. VERY FAMILY FRIENDLY RESORT!

When I originally booked the room, I made sure I read what my room came with which was a hot tube outside of the balcony because that is how they displayed it looked like on the website. However as soon as we got to our room our belcony was smaller than i expected with no private bath tub outside. I was so disappointed because they basically lied to me and I was so excited to be able to enjoy a nice balcony. It’s all inclusive but the drinks and the food weren’t as enjoyable as I expected it to be. For being one of the biggest resorts I had higher expectations.

Property was nice, it was being worked on so half of it was shut down, including restaurants, which we weren’t aware of. We could only get one reservation because the rest were fully booked. We were told we should have made reservations before our trip but didn’t have the option so we had to eat buffet the whole time. Nice pools/waterpark area.

The property is very outdated and old. The Expedia VIP upgrade allowed us to visit sister properties that were more luxury and way better. We had roaches in our room. Picked this hotel because it’s advertised 6 restaurants. I do not like buffet. We were only allowed 1 restaurant reservation for 3 night 4 day trip. We had to pay extra to eat at the restaurant and we did because we did not want buffet. The guest service guy was unfriendly and didn’t offer helpful information. Made us feel like we ere bothering him.

This was our fourth visit to the resort. We were initially hesitant to return since our previous experiences had been somewhat bland. However, this time was completely different — from the moment we arrived, we truly felt the warmth and hospitality. Samantha made our check-in seamless and even arranged for us to get our rooms earlier than expected. She was very thorough in explaining all our VIP perks. We received a pink wristband that granted us access to the three sister resorts, which was a wonderful bonus. Thank you, Samantha, for your exceptional service! Alondra made magic happen for our Sofía and arranged for a late checkout. Thank you, Alondra, for your extraordinary service! Tomas and Mauricio (Kukulcan), Eddy (Portofino), and Fabian (Akumal Buffet) went above and beyond to make Sofía's birthday extra special. We truly appreciate the kindness and attention they showed us. We also visited BPG Akumal and BPG Tulum, and each resort had its own unique charm. Our granddaughter especially enjoyed the waterpark at BPG Coba, the beach at Akumal, and the pool at Tulum. The grounds were immaculate, the beach was beautiful, the pools and rooms were spotless, and the food and drinks were fantastic. We’re already looking forward to returning!

We recently stayed at this beautiful resort in the Riviera Maya and overall had a wonderful experience. The check-in process with Armando was smooth and welcoming, he was friendly, efficient, and very courteous. He went above and beyond to accommodate our family’s needs, which made a great first impression. Our room was excellent, clean, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout our stay. The entertainment team was fantastic, bringing so much energy and fun to the resort. The only area that could use improvement is the dining and bar service. While the food itself was decent, the service was sometimes slow and could be more attentive. The buffet need more food variety. With a little more focus in this area, the overall experience would be exceptional. Despite that, we’re happy with our stay and would consider returning in the future.

Something mis-leading is you only get to eat for free at one resort restaurant once for free per resort stay. You can eat at the buffet as much as you want. But when I’m paying for an all inclusive that should mean also to all the restaurant options.

Food was ok, not good nor great just ok, not too many options for kids either. There was nothing to control mosquitoes on the property, and yes I know is nature but there are so many things now days to control plagues. Oh, and bed had mites! At least we were out of the hotel most of the time. Only good thing was that the kids enjoyed the kids water park.

Has its old charm but the property needs a whole work up. Staff at the front reception and guest services were not receptive of guests’ complaints. They were not friendly and tried to solve problems by offering compensation instead of solving the problem to make my stay comfortable. I would not recommend anyone to stay there until the whole resort is renovated.
