Renaissance Seaport Boston; Unfortunately, the experience fell well short of expectations. Despite booking a standard room, I was placed in an accessible room without explanation. The setup was not suitable for my needs—particularly the shower, which was inconvenient to use, and a sink that was practically unusable due to its design. The front desk staff during check-in seemed completely indifferent and unprofessional. One employee was audibly chewing gum while assisting me, which didn’t exactly give a great first impression. To add to the frustration, the $20 dining credit that was part of my booking was not honored. We attempted to dine at the hotel restaurant but left after being ignored by the staff for an unreasonable amount of time. It’s a shame because the hotel itself is beautifully designed, with quality finishes and a stylish atmosphere. However, the lack of attention to guest needs and poor customer service overshadowed any positives. There’s clearly a need for improved training and a greater focus on guest experience.

The property had no hot water upon arrival, causing to be a great inconvenience, the hotel staff made no effort to informed us, until we had to reach out by phone from our dinner restaurant, we stayed two nights and got refunded only for one of the nights, due to one of the nights being booked trough orbitz, orbitz along side with us has been trying to reach managment several times with no respond this was an anniversary weekend for us that turned into a great disappointment.

Boston vacation

Touring Boston. Had to pay $40 a night resort fee, they gave us a free clam chowder at a local restaurant, two passes to museum of contemporary art and $20 hotel credit

Only Renaissance!!

Renaissance is synonymous with high quality, comfort and excellent customer service. Renaissance Seaport (Boston) did not disappoint. It was clean, comfortable, the front desk was very accommodating. I also love the convenience of Starbucks (the resort fee allowance of 2 each day, and clam chowder) Bravo!!!

No hot water for almost a week

Stayed for 5 days, no hot water throughout the entire stay. Cold showers daily. Each day promised by staff that the hot water boiler would be fixed later that day and that we would be refunded for the days without hot water, given free breakfast etc. at checkout I was charged full price for the entire stay except for a free packet of Doritos. The hotel bar is brutally cold as well, air conditioning is far too potent. This was not a fun time at all. I understand things can break but if we had been told they couldn’t fix it we would have checked out and gone to a different hotel

The room and facilities were very clean and the area is nice and walkable. The breakfast was great and there was a nice pool for babies there However, something’s could be improved 1. The spa was not working during our stay 2. Bottled water are not included and most of the time I even could not find a jar of water in reception 3. Warmer reception was expected. The lady who welcomed us on the first night was not very friendly and it disappointed us a lot
