Before you’re shocked by the 3-star rating, let me say—it was hard to give this place anything less than 5. This is a magnificent resort with great staff, but I want to highlight a few things to help them improve and assist future guests.
**Pros:**
* **The beach:** Absolutely stunning! Crystal-clear water with *no sargassum*—a rare treat in this part of Mexico. Calm, swimmable, and perfect for snorkeling. We saw fish, starfish, and more during our 8-day stay.
* **The grounds:** Beautifully maintained with a mix of modern and rustic touches. Groundskeepers do a great job. Both pools and the kids’ area were large, never crowded, and always clean.
* **The staff:** Incredibly friendly and welcoming—especially the bar and entertainment teams.
**Cons:**
* **Operations:** Buffet service needs improvement—plates and cups are often hard to find, and food frequently runs out without quick replenishment.
* **Facility hours:** Pool closes at 8, pool bar at 5, and beach access shuts down at night, which is frustrating when the disco goes until 1:30AM. No late-night beach strolls allowed.
* **The disco:** Poor soundproofing means music and bass can be heard throughout the resort, making it hard to sleep before 1:30AM.
**Would we return?** Absolutely. The pros outweigh the cons, and next time we’ll be better prepared to enjoy it even more.
