the view is gorgeous; the employees are the friendliest and accommodating that I have encountered. The resort needs to refurnish the beautiful lobby and new ceiling fans. I personally felt there were to many food items to choose from when you can specialize on certain items.

Short version? Quiet, friendly, intimate, and island paced location. Loved it. Although many told us this is a smaller all inclusive, we thought it had plenty and we really enjoyed our stay. The landscaping is lush, clean, and welcoming. We loved the wildlife seeing flamingos, many different types of smaller birds, iguanas, and coatis as well. The food was quite good, honestly nothing negative about anything we ate. Also, I appreciated how they had purified water fill stations and ice stations everywhere, not giving throw away plastic bottles and instead providing us with glass refillable bottles for water to keep in the room. If I had to mention anything as a negative, it would be restaurant options, which are limited in that there are at most 3 dinner options, usually one to two lunch or breakfast options. For me, I didn’t mind as all the food available was quite good. El Cedral has good BBQ options like pulled pork and their rolls are great. Towards the end of our stay we finally convinced our 15yr old to let us try the other buffet restaurant by the front desk called Cozumel. That had great options too. For people who are used to having 4+ restaurant options for each meal you might be disappointed. Activity options were great, your standard beach things plus archery and rifle shooting (which we didn’t try), and one tennis court. Tennis court has pickleball lines and they have some basic pickleball gear. We will be back for sure though.

Iberostar waves in Cozumel is a fantastic place to stay. The beach, the pool, the bars, the food, the staff, the dive shop on site, and the wildlife on site are all amazing. This location is very well kept, and you can see the staff constantly landscaping and making the experience worth while. They even has a man with a hawk that will detour the birds during breakfast which I think is an above and beyond thing to do for all guests to enjoy their food without worrying about any animals stealing your food. Highly recommend this place and I will be back in the future.

We loved how tropical it was! The Flamingos, Peacocks, Iguanas, Coatis - along with the very well maintained property made for an amazing Island Paradise getaway. The food at the main buffet was just okay, some meals better than others and the juice seemed to be overly watered down. We're definitely not picky eaters but felt the food here wasn't as good as other all inclusives we've stayed at. That being said, the breakfast buffet was always wonderful, snack area by the pool was also good, the specialty Mexican restaurant was so good (must have the tequila cake!) The staff here was absolutely wonderful! Always courteous and with a smile. We had no problems with our room and loved the hammock on the porch.

We had a great/pleasant/humble experience at this resort, everyone was nice and helpful. If you are looking for a parting or luxury stay this is not the place for you- this resort is calm, quiet, & relaxing, a mixture of beach/jungle/wildlife and bungalow rooms. Overall, this was a much needed relaxing stay!

The food was great, the options were great, never waited for a table. The staff were friendly, helpful. The room was perfect and housekeeping was phenomenal. The beach was beautiful, clean, and quiet. Yoga was well done. The pool was sparkling and hand-cleaned. There was entertainment during the day and night. The towels were plush. The beds were comfortable. My husband dove with the dive shop and enjoyed it. Will stay there again!

We had such a lovely time at the resort, it’s the perfect size and didn’t feel overwhelming, it only took minutes to get to the buffet or to the beach, the bungalows were quiet and clean. The wildlife was so much fun to be around and the trees and gardens were gorgeous - felt like we were right in the jungle. Staff were extremely friendly and respectful. The beach was well maintained and the dock offered a great place to hop in the ocean and watch the fish that hide there. We took advantage of the catamarans which was so much fun, and we also joined a snorkelling tour from the Dressel Diving shop right at the resort which was fantastic. I especially appreciated the environmentally friendly efforts made by the resort. For our first visit to Cozumel it was an excellent place to stay.
