American couple, five day stay. Madalena is a 5 star out of 5 star hotel. Centrally located on a quit street. Refrigerator, safe, American movies on several TV channels (Portuguese subtitles), staff spoke good English. Rooms are not big but cozy. We were gone most the day so room size is not an issue. Quit sleeping at night, room was cleaned every day. What more can we say but you get what you pay for. This hotel offers great value if your staying in Lisbon.

Excelentes condiciones del hotel en general, muy buena ubicación y limpieza. Solo recomiendo tener más previsión en caso de emergencia, con el apagón no tenían nada que ofrecer a los huéspedes, ni una linterna, ni nada de alimentos o bebidas.

I travel quite a lot, both domestic and internationally, and Madalena by The Beautique Hotels is right up at the top, one of the best boutique hotels I have stayed at. Location is excellent short walking distance to many tourist sites. The hotel is fantastic, very clean, high-end shower amenities, which is a nice touch. The staff is warm, professional, and very helpful with giving us tips for exploring the area. If there is one thing I could speak of, it's the slippery floor in the shower. The polish marble floor can be very slipper when wet. If there is a shower mat, that would be much less of a safety hazard for hotel guests and cleaning staff.

The wife and travelled Europe for 9 weeks and stayed at various hotels and all good. When we checked into this property the room smelled like cigarette smoke and the power in our room would fail as the breaker would pop and we had to reset it at least 6 times per day. It would be as simple as charging the phone. When I contacted the manager he told me this was normal. Thanks Dave and Diane.
