Car parking was a joke for disabled guests. The entire building was scruffy with a leaking foul water pipe at the side of the building where access to car park is. The noise on Saturday night was off the scale, with a nightclub next door and us on the first floor we may as well have gone to the nightclub and saved the hotel charges.

Some irresponsible dog owner left a dog in a room all night while they were out drinking, so the dog was barking and howling at the music all night. The outside window doesn't shut properly and doesn't block the noise. We complained and changed rooms to 417, where I slept, but was up for work within a matter of hours and wasn't impressed.

Arrived to find no parking spaces, was informed to go to a pay and display but eventually a space became available. Checked in, got to the room and immediately left and drove home. We felt extremely unsafe staying with our son, middle of the afternoon on a Saturday and outside the hotel was full of people absolutely smashed, fighting and smoking drugs. The local pubs were absolutely bouncing, dread to think what it would have been like had we actually stayed. Room was fine, tired but not dirty.

Had a lovely weekend break, was able to bring our dog as hotel is dog friendly. Hotel is clean very spacious and reception staff were so friendly and could not do enough for you. Will definitely be returning.

Scarasbrick hotel

The only problem was the noise from the nightclubs in the area , we complained and was moved straight away , but we could still hear the music even though we were on the other side of the building , this would definitely stop us going to this hotel again

Experience not to have

Upon check-in, greeted by two police officers. Next morning, 5 officers banging on a door two down from our room and ejecting the patron. During our time there, 5 visits from the local constabulary. Asked to move rooms but not granted, seemed like that would be too much trouble. If you want a nice relaxed stay, this is not the place.
