Sehr englisches Hotel im Herzen von London.

Das Dukes liegt perfect im St. James. In unmittelbarer Nähe liegen High End Shopping,hype Restaurants und Bars, anderseits aber auch sind die schönen Parks von London direkt vor der Haustüre. Trotz der zentralen Lage liegt es sehr ruhig. Man fühlt sich gleich wohl im Dukes; wie bei englischen Freunden zu Hause. Das Restaurant im Sous Sol wurde dieses Jahr vollumfänglich renoviert und vergrössert. Sehr gelungen. Das Frühstück, auch hier "very brittish" und frish zubereitet. Im Wintergarten wird der Afternoontea serviert, auch das ein Erlebnis. Das Highlight im Dukes für mich ist die Coctail Bar. Die ist jedoch seit ewigkeiten fest in italieischen Händen. Die Martini Coctails .. unschlagbar aber sehr gefährlich.

Toinen kerta jo toden sanoo...

Olin toista kertaa tässä hotellissa joka on yksi upeimpia hotelleja koko Lontoossa. Laadukas, hiljainen ja lähellä kaikkea. Henkilökunta erittäin ammattitaitoista, joka on tottunut palvelemaan. Itselläni ensimmäisenä yönä tuli häiriötä baarin sikariterassilta, kun huone sijaitsi sen yläpuolella, huone vaihdettiin heti seuraavana päivänä todella mallikkaasti. Hotellin baari, James Bond perinteitä vaalien, on aivan omaa luokkaansa idyllisyytensä osalta. Menen varmasti uudelleen ko hotelliin! Huom! Ei perhehotelli, ainakaan pienille lapsille!
