Lovely room but the service was very poor. We splashed out on a suite for my birthday and despite being assured that our mini bar would be restocked promptly after they forgot on our first day, it never was. We asked about it twice a day and received the same response that it would be stocked immediately- didn’t happen. This, despite the fact they had dozens of staff milling about in reception doing nothing! We paid for breakfast when we arrived but somehow that never got communicated to the staff on the desk at the buffet. The very rude lady made us feel like criminals as we we’re basically accused of trying to steal breakfast- we were kept waiting whilst she finished a call to someone (on an entirely different matter) before she could be bothered to sort it out. The VIP room closes at 10pm which means you can never use it after the theatre which is quite poor. Would be nice to have a wider range of music in the bar too; the music in the evenings was dreadful.

The lobby had too many smokers. It was the smoke that welcomed us the moment we arrived. Disappointing first impression and I believe this can be controlled for better consideration to non- smokers. The room was in good condition except the bathroom tub was not gleaming clean to be used for soaking. It was evident when I used my clorox wipes to clean it and it turned brown so I did not dare using it at all which was a waste because I specifically requested a tub to be used after my family's long travel. Plus, the toilet paper holder was cheap, too light to stand on it's own that it kept falling on the floor which was a bothersome and unhygenic and it was already rusty. I feel this little thing did not belong at all with whatever concept Cumberland is trying to pull. The lighting system is too complicated to remember which switch works for each light. There were just too many switches. But one thing we appreciate was the complimentary bar drinks and snacks. Also, the buffet bfast we ordered was great for its value. Location is good being close to Marble Arch and shopping at Selfridges.

Nice place, great location and breakfast. We arrived from the U.S. about 10am and they had a room available. Note: A King size bed is actually Queen size in the U.S. The rooms are small, and I'm not sure there would be room for a true King size bed.

Welcoming and friendly staff, good room size, comfortable bed, with the only underwhelming part being the pillows being too soft. The hotel is excellently located next to Marble Arch station, making it ideal for getting around the city.
