Beautifull traditional hotel.

Beautiful hotel, full of traditional English charm and character. The staff were all really friendly and approachable, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast had an excellent selction all good quality items, the restaurant was lovely and calm and you didn't feel rushed. The rooms are slightly showing signs of wear but it really didn’t worry us, the views and exceptional location more than made up for it.

This hotel was a highlight of our trip compared to the other hotels we stayed in in various cities.It was close to so much and the easy access to the Tube made it convenient to get to the other places we couldn't walk to. The only thing that I would put in the negative column is the lack of service in the dining room and terrace. We had to look for someone to wait on us each time we dined.

Leaking toilet kept us awake. Shower leaked and soaked floor. When complained was told toilet fixed but it wasn’t and offered towels to soak up wet floor. Terrible stay and spoilt a birthday treat trip
