The property and location were very nice, but some of the staff made our experience very poor and unpleasant, nothing we would expect from a 5 stars hotel. We asked the belt man to get us a taxi to go for lunch, and the taxi (black) took us around the city using the longest and busiest road, we finally decided to stop, pay and walk. We also reserved another taxi for the airport later the same day, but when we arrived let the belt man we wouldn’t take their taxis again due to the bad experience. The belt man started to treat us very bad, told us we must take their taxi, he was very un respectful, started yelling at us, even told the doorman that we couldn’t access the hotel again (545 pm on Sept 28th). We didn’t have the time to make the complaint at the front desk, but I think this is a delicate situation that should be brought to your attention. Staff very unkind and un respectful, never back again!

Lovely hotel with excellent staff. The doormen welcome you so well and reception and restaurant staff do all they can to help you. Nice area near Buckingham Palace and close to a tube station.

Lovely hotel very close to Buckingham Palace, the Victoria Station, and many restaurants. The staff is wonderful here. The doormen are particularly friendly. Beautiful atmosphere, nice room. I would definitely stay here again.

Very traditional English hotel with a lot of its original charm but small rooms, multilevel incl in the bathroom itself which was sometimes difficult to navigate. Excellent staff that dropped everything to help when needed!

This property is fantastic! it is in the perfect location for anyone wanting to visit the all of the attractions. We were able to easily walk to Buckingham Palace, The Horse Guards, Big Ben and Westminster Abby. The neighborhood has many dining and shopping options. This is a nice neighborhood and we felt very safe here. The London Underground tube station, Victoria station is about a two minute walk and from there you can get anywhere in London. We highly recommend and we will be back!

Wish I was writing a different review, but we were pretty disappointed with our stay. First, the entrance/elevator are small and it did not feel as grand as the photos so that was a bit underwhelming. Staff was friendly though. Room looked nice but we tried to take a nap because of our jet lag and it was SO noisy. Constant banging/knocking noise above us and we were put right beside the cleaning supply closet so constant door slamming on top of that. I did not nap. Food was also disappointing. We had lunch in the restaurant/lounge and my food was lukewarm and then we went back for dinner (wanted to eat in the actual restaurant, but for some reason it never seemed open?) and I ordered the fish and it was awful. I couldn't eat it and ordered another meal and they charged me for both! We did eat breakfast in the restaurant on our last day and the french toast was dry. Definitely not 5 star worthy food imo. The worst part of our stay though was on one of our last nights the knocking was so bad we couldn't sleep. We were able to sleep in a different room that night temporarily which was still a bit noisy but not as bad. Our room on our last night was much better so I wish I had asked to switch on our first day. Will definitely stay elsewhere next time.

Our Stay was Excellent.

Our stay at the Rubens was an excellent. The service was outstanding and caring. The reception staff and concierge were knowledgeable and kind. The doorman, Jan, was always smiling and very pleasant. I can’t say enough good things about Rubens. I recommend it highly.
