Spacious and clean rooms and located in a great location. Walking distance to Victoria station gives you quick access to all of London. Right around the corner from Buckingham Palace and easy walking distance to various parks and popular squares.

Rooms were clean - decoration was very regal / old fashioned. Staff were super friendly. Great location. Only issue was service charge being added to everything including a general tip of £15 pp per stay when you are already charged premium prices with a 15% service charge added to everything . Breakfast was expensive at £38 pp for continental plus 15% and very basic so would advise to skip that and eat outside the hotel where there are plenty of great options!

The Rubens is a quintessentially British hotel in a convenient location close to Victoria Station. Cleanliness standards were high and although Rubens is an older hotel the furnishings are up to date and not at all worn. The staff are first-rate and are genuinely interested in making sure you are having a good stay. I highly recommend this hotel

Absolutely everything. But the staff was just amazing. Helpful, all smiles, cheerful, welcoming!!!! And the staff thy cleaned our room. One lady said she was Russian and not much English but she smiled and the room was always done up well.

We were meant to stay for 4 days but sadly had to cut our stay short after the first night due to a family bereavement. On first impressions the hotel and its staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room a touch small but very clean and quite. Excellent location if you want to be in the heart of London. It felt we were staying in the Buckingham Palace courtyard lol. Shame we didn’t get to experience the hotel properly but hopefully we will back again another time.
