Great location but not the greatest hotel. Rooms are small & dated and in need of updates. Very expensive for what you get. Also left a piece of jewellery in the room, staff completely unbothered and unwilling to assist, apparently the only option is to return to collect in person within 7 days. Refused to post back after I offered to cover the costs. Organised a courier and on both attempts collection was denied.

We chose this hotel to attend a concert in Hyde Park, and it was a great convenient location, literally a 5 minute walk from Hyde Park. The hotel was clean, the room was nice and spacious with very clean and well stocked bathroom, coffee machine etc. Little pricey but I guess in line with London prices.

Lovely staff and good location, poorly maintained

The staff were very pleasant and helpful, and the location of the room was convenient to get to from Paddington station. However, our experience was affected by the condition of the room which seemed to be poorly maintained - The kitchen sink was tilting to one side, the overhead shower dripped, the toilet flush was slightly bashed in, the base of the magnifying mirror was hanging off and the hooks behind the door was not tight hence we had to hang our towels on a hanger. If the room were better maintained, this hotel would have been ideal.

The building is in a desperate need for upkeep. The first room had a smelly refrigerator that I could not stay in because of how terrible the smell was when they moved me the bathroom had mold all in the ceiling, and since I am prone to getting asthma attacks and sinus infections, I had to leave the hotel earlier than I would like. The staff was amazing though; accommodating, supportive and apologetic. The area is amazing really easy to get onto the tube and travel anywhere you want, but there definitely needs to be some remodel. The elevator was broken and there was no sign for it and we got on the elevator, you had to endure each and every floor stopping.

Perfect for the BST Hyde Park shows. Incredible shower, comfortable bed and the kitchen area was a very welcome addition. Excellent staff who couldn’t be more accommodating. Will definitely stay here again on future visits to BST Hyde Park.

Dissatisfied on this occasion

I’ve stayed here on a few occasions and have been very happy. Unfortunately this time it was not up to standard. The room was in need of refurbishing, the walls were scuffed and had finger marks in many places. The woodwork chipped and some mold in the otherwise lovely bathroom. The room had a second entrance near the bar toilets which made it very noise from door closing and we could hear the music from the bathroom. The wind draft ment the doors rattled frequently and the internal door would not stay closed. It was not a comfortable stay and we left very tired. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable compared to other rooms I’ve been in. Also, the complimentary water that was supposed to be in the fridge as advised by receptionist was not there. Overall very disappointed on this occasion. The luggage man and gentleman at the door were very lovely and thoughtful.

I would have given the hotel a higher rating except we were there during a heat wave and the air conditioning was not working properly to keep the room cool. The hotel offered to move us to another room but I heard other guests complain about the same issue. Otherwise staff and location were exceptional.
