It was ok but I won’t be back

The room didn’t have air conditioning. A fan was provided but it was blowing hot air around the room. The window was open but couldn’t be opened any wider than a fraction (old sash window). There were open two sockets so you had to choose between boiling the kettle or watching the tv as the fan was plugged into the second socket. So forget about charging your phone. The sink in the bathroom had massive black cracks in it - not hygienic or safe. On the plus side the bed was comfortable and clean. The room was quiet overnight.

Turned up to be told no room was assigned. Was assigned a room after 20 minutes of looking, to find it was a box, with barely any light, the windows open with bird poo on the window sills and 1 plug which was in use by the room air con... an oscillating fan.

The three star rating is spot on. This is a moderate- to low-end hotel by almost all, measures. Upon check in during a heat wave, I asked if there would be a fan in the room. The answer: There should be. I had to look for it, but it was there. The elevator stops at the sixth floor but my room was one more flight on the 7th. At check out, I suggested that the room was too hot; the response I received was: All of our rooms are hot.

The room was adequate, but it looked nothing like the pictures in Expedia. I was expecting a rather large, well furnished room with a double bed. What I got was the double bed in a very small room with very little extra space and a tiny desk. On the up side, having a room with no view was quiet. This would have been ok for a couple of nights but not the 7 nights I stayed.
This was my view out the window.

Check in was quick and easy, arrived an hour before check in time and there was a room available for us. The weather was very hot, there was a fan in our room but it didn’t provide much cool air, I heard many guests having the same complaint so I think air conditioning would be beneficial to improve service. The lift is also a bit awkward as you can only fit two people in at a time. Overall good location as it’s in walking distance to the centre of London, it was affordable for one night but wouldn’t want to stay for any longer. We didn’t opt for breakfast so can’t comment on the food

This hotel was in very poor condition and the bathroom had mold everywhere. I booked a room with two twin beds and the beds were secured together as one big bed and not appropriate for me and my daughter. I checked out and booked a stay at the Bedford hotel across the street and demanded a refund from Hotels.com

Thistle Bloomsbury Park is an excellent place to stay when travelling to/from St. Pancras which is actually walking distance. As I was a single traveller my room even though small was equipped with all amenities. The staff at the reception and breakfast room were very friendly and courteous. I will stay here again when travel with the Eurostar!

The staff were super helpful & efficient. The condition was as expected for the cost. However the noise in the room from outside kept us awake as the windows are so old. The window is not double glazed & didn’t close properly. They need secondary glazing installed if it’s too costly for new windows. Also there are no sockets either side of the bed & no usb sockets at all. Room 305

Staff were all welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was perfect, lots of variety and fresh. Rooms were very small but clean. Communal areas were modern but rooms could do with some updating. Paint was tired and curtains were damaged. Noise from the road was very distributive, even with the windows closed. We had a standard double bed but the bed was a double divan so actually smaller than a regular double.

Genevieve on reception was so warm, cheerful and welcoming. She was just what I needed to make check in painless after a long day of meetings. Room and facilities are fair value for money and position of hotel means lots of places to eat and drink close by however, street was Very noisy until about 1 am
