Great location

Convenient location and friendly staff. Given that it's an older building and in a busy district, there was a lot of noise at night. There was also a strange odor in the hallway outside of our room on the 1st floor that remained our entire stay. The room was also very humid when the AC was off and the AC did not reach the bathroom which was also very humid. I personally value location and convenience over fancy amenities so this wasn't a huge damper on my stay.

Super friendly and the AC was able to get super cold after tinkering with the remote for a bit and figuring out how it works. The breakfast was also very good and much better than United States.

Although Hotel Fernando has tiny rooms, the hotel could not be more comfortable. Although it is on a main street, the rooms are quiet. The staff went out of their way to answer questions, and the locale is within a five minute walk of everything in the Gothic Quarter. Unfortunately, I had my wallet stolen in the last few hours of my time there, and the staff were kind and helpful as I worked on reporting the issue. The breakfast was wonderful, except there were no gluten free options gor bread, and I had checked om this before leaving. It is a great place to call temporary home while exploring Barcelona.

The worst hostel we visited in years. The aircon turns off without a reason again and again. The towels for shower so unclean and in one case, it has other's body hair on it. The room is super filthy.

Perfect stay at Hostal Fernando

Brilliant stay with my mum and brother for a surprise trip for my mum's 70th. Room was fab, clean and comfortable. Hostal was great decor and brilliant location. Staff were lovely and very accommodating (thank you 🙂). Breakfast exceeded my expectations and was delicious! Thank you looking forwards to our next visit!

Very good for a short stay! It’s next to Placa Reial which has a lot of food options as well as being around Gothic Quarter. The only issue I had was the wifi in my room was in a bad reception area which drops a lot and had issues with the shower door. Carlos and Miguel were a big help figuring out what to do on our 2 day stay there. They even setup tickets to see heavily big attractions like Sagrada. Would definitely come back again for another short stay in the future.
