The service and location were great. The front desk was always helpful and offered great recommendations. The room and products were okay, nothing special, though the nespresso machine was a nice touch. At night the rooms appeared pretty quiet (except for the church bells on the hour, but they did not wake us up once we were asleep) and pillows were comfortable. If breakfast is included in your room price then do the breakfast. DO NOT pay the 22 euros (plus tax so closer to 40euros per person) for the breakfast. Absolutely not worth more than 5-10 euros a person

The staff Eva Marie and Mohammed were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. This was our second time staying there and it was a pleasure once again. All of the employees make you feel welcome and we will be back again.

What a location!!!

What an amazing location! and to have the view of the cathedral from our room, that was amazing. The staff was so helpful and friendly. We even got a complimentary ride to the airport which we didn't expect. The hotel is being updated but you can't beat the location and the staff. I highly recommend this hotel.

Terrific hotel. Very walkable area, though you don't notice the bustle outside in the hotel. Excellent staff and comfortable rooms. Breakfast buffet was very good, we were glad we opted for that.

Most of all the staff are friendly and helpful. Just a small incident that one of the front desk did not allow me to leave my 2duffel bags with them for five days as I was leaving for Madrid and will check in Lamaro hotel on the 6th day. Other than that, the services are fantastic and they even provided free transfer to airport.. a very thoughtful act by the hotel.

The Hotel Lamaro is an absolute gem! It is on a large pedestrian square, directly opposite the Barcelona Cathedral which we had a view of from the room’s balcony. The entire place is immaculate and our room was spacious and well set up. Although some of the furnishings (such as upholstered chairs in the halls need to be replaced), the rest of the hotel was recently and tastefully redone. We had breakfast as part of our room rate and the buffet was fabulous. There is a rooftop bar/restaurant with a view of the cathedral which was wonderful. But the best part about the hotel was the staff: truly exceptional!! Friendly, helpful, professional. If you’re looking for a place to stay in the Gothic Quarter, you can’t miss with the Hotel Lamaro!

This was by far the best hotel of our month long trip through Spain and that is saying a lot since the other hotels were incredible too! The location could not be better, our balcony with the Cathedral view and the Plaza! The staff at the Hotel was amazing, from the moment we arrived we were treated with 5 star service! From day 1 Ivan helping us out with dinner arrangements to the last day, the whole staff (and I am sorry that I did not write down their names) made our stay in Lamaro unforgettable! Thank you Lamaro for an incredible experience! This will certainly be our forever Hotel in Barcelona!!

Great Hotel

What a beautiful hotel, close to the Cathedral with a lovely roof top bar, close to Las Ramblas etc. I would definitely stay there again.
