Was my first stay at this hotel but not my first visit tor Barcelona. This is one of three properties I stayed at on this extended visit. It’s very clean however there is a lingering odor. Almost that of mildew and dampness throughout the property and quite prominent on the top floor where I stayed. You can tell they are aware as there seems to be a perfume regiment that occurs during cleaning. My room walls were also quite thin. Neighbors bathroom routine to the left was consistent. Neighbor to the right had a bad cough and enjoys the radio. Nice size rooms and great staff. The roof top is a draw so you do have to compete with that crowd toward the afternoon and evening for one of the two lifts.

Fantastic Hotel in a perfect location!

Lamaro Hotel was a brilliant hotel to stay in from start to end. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and stylish. It has a stunning rooftop bar with drinks and tapas, of which you can access for free as a hotel guest and you don’t have to queue up either. The staff are very friendly and attentive, noting my wife’s birthday and ensuring there was a surprise cake in the room and a hand written letter wishing her happy birthday. It’s also perfectly located in front of a beautiful landmark cathedral, and within the Gotchic Quarter. It’s a walking distance from the famous La Ramblas, as well as nearby great public transport options to get around the city. Upon check-out, we were about to take the train to the airport and the concierge offered us a complimentary transfer service which is provided by the hotel, this was exceptional and saved us money and time as well.

We had an Executive Room that was spacious and well equipped. It was very comfortable for a multi-day stay. The staff was very attentive. The restaurant was very good. Hotel clients were given preferential access and seating in its beautiful terrace bar. It’s a great place to stay in Barcelona.

Lovely grand hotel, but for the price there were some surprising issues- couldn’t get the room cool enough, plumbing made noises (even when we weren’t using it), no fan in bathroom.

The staff were very helpful and kind. The location is great you can walk to so many of the sights in Barcelona. In the lobby there are chocolate almonds apples & biscotti. Clean comfortable and with some lovely touches. They marked my birthday with cake & bubbly. There is no room that accommodates three adults that is not clear on booking sites. The lifts are small & slow. .

All the staff was very accommodating and helpful and extremely nice!! We arrived around 7:30am so our room wasn’t ready but they did get us a room before the normal checkin time, which we greatly appreciated because we had a bike tour and wanted to change clothes/shoes. The roof top bar was fantastic and we loved the location which was right across from the Barcelona Cathedral! We would definitely stay at the Lamaro Hotel again if we return to Barcelona!!

the view of the cathedral from your room was spectacular. I don’t know if I would’ve been happy in the room. It didn’t have the cathedral view. The rooftop bar was amazing. They gave hotel guest priority of the best seats

the Colón Hotel in Barcelona absolutely delivered. From the moment we stepped in, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful or welcoming. Every question was answered with a smile, and they made navigating the city feel effortless. But let’s talk about the real showstopper: location, location, location. This hotel is literally right across from the Barcelona Cathedral – you step outside and you’re already in the heart of the Gothic Quarter. Whether it was walking to La Rambla, hopping on a tour bus, or finding great tapas around the corner, everything was incredibly accessible. And don’t skip the breakfast – it was generous, fresh, and served with a view that made mornings something to look forward to. Honestly, this hotel made our Barcelona trip smooth, memorable, and just the right amount of luxurious. Highly recommend!
