Weird and unsettling experience
Because of a flight delay, we checked in at 2am. The hotel door was locked and it was not at all clear which doorbell we had to push (there are several businesses in the building, including an unrelated hostel). We apparently got it right because the door eventually buzzed for 1/2 second - not long enough for us to know to try it. It took 2 more times before we finally got in. At the 2nd floor (where reception is) it felt like we were getting off in an industrial building, but a padded door popped open on the right, letting us into a carpeted area that reminded me of movie depictions of early 20th century brothels. After checking in, we checked out the "24-hour buffet" which was not much more than some buckets of canned fruit. To get to our room, we had to be buzzed out back to the elevator, then buzzed in again to our floor. Everything was being monitored from the desk by camera. To leave the floor, we had to pick up a phone by the door. It was very weird. The room itself was reasonably comfortable except that there were very few electrical outlets and every single one of them was damaned (ground pins bent up so that a plug could not be seated properly). Charging our phones was hard. I'm glad our stay was only for one night. Location was good except it is best to take a taxi to the nearby square and walk, as driving right to the door is a very long way around to get on a limited-access street.
