Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
I selected a double room and it wasn’t the room that I had selected at all. The room was completely different, still a double but in the pictures it made it seem like there were a few rooms in the place and not just one bedroom. There was a shared bathroom and kitchen and the room wasn’t even in the building itself. It was right down the street but still. The guy at the front was super sweet and gave us places on where to go for fun but it was only him in the place and took very long to sign the papers and wait for our key. It would just be cool if there were more staff so there wasn’t a long wait. The bathroom also wasn’t that clean especially the shower but yeah.
The property got the job done when it came to having a place to sleep, showers and bathroom areas were dirty, moldy and in deep need of renovation. The shower on our floor was clogged with water pooling in the bottom so we had to use the one upstairs. There were bugs in the kitchen as well. There was laundry that worked which was a plus and there was air conditioning in the room. Everything else was in pretty poor condition but got the job done for the price range. Would only stay again if we were desperate.
Admittedly, the amenities were pretty slim compared to Motel 6, but the price and location made up for it! We had an early flight out of Logan and managed to get there quickly. Would definitely go back!

Good for its price. Very kind and helpful staff. Facilities are old and could use a facelift.
Had more of a 'hostel' vibe than a hotel (e.g., we had a shared bathroom, although there were several available at any given time). bed was a bit soft. Location was terrific (9 minute walk from the T). We got one of the limited onsite parking spots (reasonably priced at $10/day), but I could see this being an issue. If you have issues with mobility, it might pose a problem since there is no elevator.
Dreary entryway; dirty rugs throughout; bathroom sink cracked, with broken plastic hot water handle; broken window shade in bathroom; what little furniture that was in the bedroom was grimy and dirty; only a single overhead light in bedroom with no night stands with lamps; TV had only one channel, and to make that work you had to plug and unplug the TV; walls in the stairwells were cracked with pieces on the stairs; building and surrounding property was in ill-repair.
On the positive side, the staff was nice.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The hotel was quite old and had a slightly eerie feel. The bathroom was very small and offered limited amenities. However, it was cost-effective and worth the price paid. The place was quiet and peaceful, and the staff were prompt and helpful."
I didn’t read the reviews when I booked the Farrington . Everything else was so expensive! The woman a the front desk was nice , and offered us a better room for an extra $20 a night - and this room would have a private bathroom . So we said yes and then she took us to the separate apartment building . The building is definitely run down and creepy. What we did get was an entire apartment. It was old but clean . But still kinda more creepy than good . Clean sheets . Also one must pick up Towels and toilet paper from the reception area . It was still an expensive room - I thought - for what it was . I would not stay here again . It was basic and okay but I was actually not thrilled to be there at all .
The address listed is not where we stayed. They have buildings throughout the neighborhood. We actually were escorted out of the check in building and down the block, where we stayed at 38 Linden st. Didn’t like not knowing that ahead of time.
Door wasn’t properly aligned with doorway so of lights were on inside the room, everyone outside the room could see inside my room. The bathroom was a shared space with no curtain and a door to a secret room, I always pretended the door wasn’t there to calm my fears that someone was hiding inside while I was in the bathroom shared with different strangers each day. Had to leave early because it was so scary and dusty, stayed with a friend that lived way further from the location we were visiting because a more expensive uber was better than staying another night there.
