Although a little outside of Lisbon the train service offer cheap and fast links to the city centre

Pool area was lovely Breakfast was excellent except for the coffee which was awful. Breakfast staff were incredibly efficient. Public areas were nice, although perhaps trying a little too hard to be whimsical. Standard room was a little small. Great location, walking distance to train and beach

Nice atmosphere. Boutique hotel. Location good - close to the congress centre, Estoril train station, and the beach and some good restaurants on the promenade. Very clean. Reasonably priced for location. Breakfast was also good for the price. Bed was however very uncomfortable. Mattresses need to be replaced (I believe there is a newer part of the hotel which has been renovated with better rooms). The shower head also turns outward, so I had to hold it above my head when taking my shower. If they can change the mattresses, and fix the shower head direction issue this hotel would be comfortable. However, I would not stay again, as the most important factor for me is to be able to sleep. My visit was for work and I tossed and turned all night in the bed, so it made the hotel useless in my case. The phone in my room also did not work. I let the reception know but they didn't do anything to amend it. As a woman traveling solo for work, it made me very uncomfortable that I couldn't even call the front desk from my hotel room. Every time I needed something I used my Skype to call the front desk from an external line.

Very good hotel in central location

Hotel is located close to train station (convenient to get to Lisbon) and beach. It has lovely swimming pool. Staff were very courteous and helpful. We had a large air conditioned bedroom with balcony. Breakfast included fresh fruit, cereals etc and was very adequate. There are not many attractions in Estoril apart from beach and Casino.

Not really a 4* hotel

We stayed two nights at this hotel. I would not rate it a 4*. The beds were not very comfortable, small. lumpy pillows, bathrooms needs an update, towels need replacing (mine had a hole in it). The general feel of the place is dreary, the hard area round the pool is not very attractive, water was cold, the garden is utilitarian rather than pretty. The staff are very willing and polite, and also very helpful. I found Estoril quite quiet and would have preferred to stay in nearby Caiscais, where there are more shops, restaurants and things going on.

Quiet relaxing hotel

Great hotel very quiet and relaxing and easy to get to from Lisbon. Estoril does not have a good variety of restaurants or shops but the Casino is its landmark thats worth a visit and a good place to eat too. Cascais is a beautiful chilled out town 3km walk down the prominade with lots of entertainment and places to eat and drink. Good holidy would be to spend say 3 days in Estoril and 4 in Cascais.

more than you would expect

very good hotel for long or short stay. very good value for money. very good position, close beach, railway,(but not close enough to hear noise)1/2 hour to centre of Lisbon. resturant excellent service and food,not noisy, no clatering of pots or loud voices etc. visited local arts centre and attended two concerts varying music to suit all tastes.advised of whats going on by reception who were very knowledgeable.

Beautiful surroundings, good service, clean and nice area. Lovely pool that refreshes at hot days. Good drinks by the pool! Walking distance to the sea.
