Warm welcome at a charming London hotel!

Pros: Lovely touches such as handmade shortbread biscuits with a personalised welcome note from the manager. Bed was big and comfortable, room quiet, showe
Cons: Antique elevator was only able to fit 2 people and not with luggage!
Location: Near to Sloane Square with eateries and shops all in walking distance. Also Sloane underground a 2 min walk away.
What a lovely hotel. Beautiful 1890 built building with orginal period features like working fireplaces in the suites and downstairs lounges, ceiling roses, staircases and filled with delightful antique furniture and pictures. We received a warm welcome by the charming and friendly staff, who genuinely cared that we had everything we needed. The Laughton suite was beautiful with a roaring fireplace and furnished in a luxurious English style. Lovely touches such as handmade shortbread biscuits with a personalised welcome note from the manager. Bed was big and comfortable, room quiet, shower powerful, big LCD TV, fluffly towels and bath robes and all the normal mod cons you'd expect from a 5 star. They provide free tea and biscuits in the afternoon and hot chocolate at night with marshmallows! Thoroughly recommend this hidden gem!

Nice hotel in a lovely area

Pros: charming
Cons: sincgle beds
Location: fantastic location plenty of the best reestaurants, shops and museums
bed too small for a man (h1.87) It would help to have a larger bed also for single bedrooms

Friendly, comfortable, luxury

You will never want to stay in achain hotel again. This is what hospitality is all about. Large, comfortable rooms, a welcoming glass of champagne after shopping. Why would I ever want to stay anywhere else in London?

Wonderful escape in roaring London ! Quiet and yet centrally located !

Friendly welcome - Wonderful English breakfast - Great Hotel, quiet, lovely park and comfortable sitting rooms and library - The place to escape from the every-day stress - Traditionally furnished - don't expect modern equipement - A place to return ! Felix D.
