Room and hotel was mostly spotless (the paint above my shower was peeling). Don't miss the "computer circuit" map of the T (subway) at the right of the check-in desk. Love the microwave, the free tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. There's also ice and a vending machine on the second floor. An iron, ironing board and hair dryer are included in the room. My one minor complaint is that the heated air in the hotel is really dry (in fact one of the large doors behind the check-in desk is cracked). My sinuses were burning until I added moisture by washing some items and allowing them to dry.

I always stay at HSH whenever I visit Boston. The former owner, Mr. Richard, was wonderful—he greeted guests each morning with a warm smile and engaging conversation, which truly made the stay feel personal and welcoming. Although Mr. Richard has retired, I am very pleased to see that the new owner has continued this tradition and carried on the legacy of providing an exceptional guest experience. HSH remains a place where guests are made to feel comfortable and valued. I highly recommend HSH to anyone visiting Boston, especially Harvard University and Harvard Square.
