We had a great trip, visiting our niece at MIT and attending a family reunion. The location was close to everything and we enjoyed walking along the Charles River. It's my second stay here.

Totally professional staff. Very courteous and accomodating. I left my computer tablet in my room after I checked out, but the staff retrieved it. They had it brought to the front desk when I returned to the hotel to pick it up. The only hiccup that I experienced was at their Paperback restaurant. The main course was served too early, when I was only halfway through my appetizer. I asked the waiter to return the main course to the kitchen for reheating. When the food was served again, the meat was noticeably dry at this point, putting a damper on the meal. The rest of the dining experience was great. I give the whole stay an A-minus.

Bad experience

First- the hotel is being used as a dorm for Boston University students. Had we known we wouldn’t have stayed there. We feel like that should be disclosed before booking. Second- the wind outside our window was making a horrendous squealing noise that kept us up all night. Not sure if the window seal was broken- but it was awful. Third- the overall condition of the property is sad. We had peeling paint in our room.

Close to Harvard Square

Aging hotel but the staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions for places to eat. There was a free shuttle that took us to Harvard Square where we browsed the stores and hopped on the T to downtown Boston. Overall, little to complaint about.
