This hotel needs knocking down. It was amazing 10+ years ago but now is very tired. I changed rooms twice and checked out. The showers were not clean, floor tiles broken, door paint terrible and service even worse. Light fixtures were hanging off the wall and the shades and wood damaged on the doors and windows. The staff were extremely rude and unprofessional. After my 30 year career in hospitality and events, I expected half decent service for the $300 price tag. I also informed the hotel it was my birthday and they did an upgrade and tried it charge me. I would strongly recommend not staying at this property. Save your money and go to the brand new hotels like Kimpton Palomar.

HORRIBLE!!!! When we first checked in and went to our room it wasn’t clean! The bed and bathroom was still dirty…. We moved to a “clean room” and was given a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine…. got settled and noticed a roach on the table, shortly after another roach was on the bed! The front desk wanted to put us in another room but we demanded a refund and immediately took a Lyft to another hotel! I also didn’t enjoy my staff interactions or lack there of at the beach club..0/10 recommend
