Was located in a great spot. Negatives for me was I couldn’t get a $100 bill broken at the reception, restaurant, bar or valet. Also needed some water in the middle of the night but no bottles available. Otherwise the place was great staff was friendly and value good I’d stay there again.

My family and I stayed at the Gates at the end of April for 6 nights. Overall we loved our stay! As you walk into the lobby smelled beautiful. We were greeted by friendly front desk. There was modern art, a pool table and lots of seating to enjoy by the bar area which overlooked the pool. Pool was smaller than expected but there was always a space for us when we arrived. My family and I liked to take our walk to the beach before the pool. Highly recommend the beach! Cannot wait to come back! Hopefully in the near future! Sadly, there was a few disappointing factors. Our shower leaked after every use. Needing quite a few extra towels. Which didn’t bother us too much.. knowing it was a busy week we didn’t ask to change rooms. Although I wish we did because We were not so lucky with our view of a concrete wall. BUT if you’re in Miami to party or enjoy what the beach. Which most people are. That shouldn’t matter too much. The only reason to need to be in the room is sleep anyway. Staff was amazing! Thank you for always greeting with a smile. Aside from those ‘minor’ details. I would definitely recommend and be happy to stay again.

The staff was amazing. Wendy at the pool went out of her way to make our time there enjoyable. We really appreciated her friendliness and care. On the other hand, we're not rich and the area caters to the rich. Breakfast was not included and was very expensive. It was difficult to find affordable eating options nearby. We ended up spending a lot more on food than we had anticipated.
