With only two staff on, when the barman goes on a brake the receptionist can not book a meal for you. i.e. they cant press the appropriate keys on the till. This happened on not one, but two nights. Next the set meals come with a drink, when I made the booking it showed the meats can also have the Hobgoblin, on the night I was told that was not the case! In the room after I used the soap in the bath it was not refilled, likewise having gone out to get a meal, the empty box was not removed from my room in the morning. Overall not impressed, especially when the booking agency (Expedia/ Hotels.com) had made an error on the booking and the hotel point blankly refused to refund the booking so I was forced to go there as well.

We found the Arnos in need of a serious update, especially the bathrooms. If we were to stay here again it would have to be much cheaper given the state of the rooms. The best part about our stay was the service, which was great.

Having read some of the reviews for the hotel i was dreading my visit. But I was veey pleasantly surprised. I had a big room qith a massive kingsize bed despite my booking indicating it was a standard double. The room was clean and tidy and the bathroom whilst small and maybe a little in need of updating, had a fabulous shower. Staff were polite and helpful, happily arranging an extra quilt to be sent to my room the second night of my stay due to the weather having dropped very cold. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice and well worth the 9.95. The only downside to my stay was on the morning after my first night when roadworks started very loudly on the road just outside my groundfloor room, which meant I got eudely awakened at 8am with drilling going on for the next couple of hours. However, this was doubtless outside the hotel's control and when i spoke to reception they did offer me the chance ro move rooms if I wanted to but I didnt need to in the end as the roadworks had gone before the next morning. I would be happy to stay here again.

The cars from the road all night was not told about breaking is not till 8am on a weekend when I explained I am diabetic there's nothing we can do for you not happy am on my way to Bristol airport to day
