I booked a single with shared bathroom

Hotel looks great. Some parking outside. Free parking from 5pm-9am. Receptionist was lovely. No cooked breakfast. Room was very very small. Window latch broken so noisy on a busy road. Tea making was very poor two little milks and one sugar (enough for one cup). Shared bathroom a was tired . Bath edge was broken and rusty. Shower had to be held as no where on the wall to hang it. This was a cheapish room 58 a night and didn't see there more expensive rooms. But everything was cramped with sloping ceilings.

Nice hotel within easy walking distance of Clifton

Pros: Nice helpful staff, nicely decorated and comfortable hotel. On site parking (limited) was a very big plus.
Cons: Short of installing a lift, absolutely nothing.
Location: Easy walk to Clifton which has a huge choice of nice pubs and restaurants to choose from.
A very pleasant stay. This is a "Town House" hotel in an old building which does not have a lift. Anyone with limited mobility (which we do not ................yet) would probably find it a challenge if they had a room on one of the upper floors. That said, the staff offered help with bags at every turn. Provided this is kept in mind, we would certainly recommend it as a place to stay, and will definitely stay there again.

One night room

I was looking for the cheapest and closest hotel for my needs, literally just for a bed for the night. I was not disappointed. A simple, clean one bed room, with clean amenities and a reasonable location had i wanted to explore some of Bristol city. The staff were courteous and helpful when presented with an issue. The only negatives were regarding the Wi-fi, which worked perfectly with my smart phone, but was unable to connect to my Windows 10 laptop.

Not bad.

The shower was about 3 feet off the ground leaving room for perhaps a dog at the most, but the room was comfortable, service was good and the hotel is in a good location.

Like sleeping in a sauna

Front of desk staff was disinterested, carrying 3 bags up 5 narrow flights of stairs to arrive at a room reaching the temperature something close to the centre of the sun, tried to get some air in the room through the postage stamp sized windows. Still thought I'd make the best of a bad job until other people arrived through the night with the last one in about 3am, given the fact that there is a gap in the bottom of the door that meant I didn't need to use my room key during my stay!! No sleep all night as a result so thought a nice cold shower would sort me out for the day, only to find that the shower had to be held unless you were the size of a small 3 year old child. I wouldn't say I won't be staying here again but if I did I wouldn't pay for the room, no need given the gap in the doors and only if I need to lose weight for a wedding or holiday etc or to save the NHS money if I ever need treatment for water retention!!!
