Comfortable, old-fashioned hotel

Pros: Good location. Parking. Supper was reasonably priced. The ambience is welcoming.
Cons: For two, with supper, breakfast and parking, over £120. As an elderly couple with suitcases, assistance should have been offered to the second floor.
Friendly, professional staff. Brilliant cleaners.

Good location, OK hotel

Pros: Good location. Large rooms are very spacious.
The hotel is conveniently located and there are many good restaurants and pubs within 5-10 minute walk. The hotel consists of 2 quite old buildings and as such the sound proofing can be poor. You can sometimes hear noise from neighbouring rooms, especially if other guests are inconsiderate (I was woken up one night at 2 am by guests talking loudly and playing music in their room). Rooms in front also have some street/traffic noise.
