An excellent stay at this fabulous hotel. The lovely man in reception upgraded us to a huge room overlooking the racecourse. The room was great and the bed was ginormous! The only issue was the bathroom door handle was dodgy and I was scared of breaking it further. Other than that though we couldn’t fault the stay. Wished we’d ventured up to the rooftop bar earlier as it was beautiful in the evening sun. Cocktails were lovely and on 2 for £16 plus we were given £5 vouchers each for opting out of housekeeping! We parked on the Little Roodee carpark just down the road which was £9 a day and walked into the centre which was a five minute walk. All round excellent stay and we will certainly be back!

Poor cleanliness within the room - some area very dusty, rips/burns in bedding and room needs some TLC (bit worn). Breakfast took over an hour - disorganised, underwhelming and not informed of delays. Raised a complaint with the issues - no response from anyone - followed up by phone - still no response. Offered a refund and not granted what was offered! Should be a standard part of customer service to acknowledge and reply Can stay in better hotels for less vs £200 we were charged!

High recommend

Location is perfect and a nice walk into the main shopping area. Lots of local restaurants and bars and very close the the race course if you are visiting for the races. Hotel its self is very good and the gym is perfect for what I needed it for on the move.

Was told breakfast was at 7am till 10am However at weekends it’s 8am and messed our plans hence did not have breakfast, £20 cost for parking??? It use to be free as part of the stay hence this needs to be considered when booking with price comparison Abode is copying airports etc, customers will vote with their feet and stay elsewhere, The extract fan needs to be checked in the bathroom not sure it is working Poor shower positioning & flow Lighting level needs to be increased

Our third stay at abode Chester and have to say there was a change in the quality of service from the reception staff and the breakfast staff from our previous last two stays! As we have done before once settled in room called reception and asked for some ice to be sent up to the room, but this time we were told we had to call the bar on level 5. Day one breakfast was excellent. The second day was not good at all. The waitress delivered the drinks with no milk and by the time we got it the drinks were cold. The food order was wrong asked for no mushroom and fried egg cooked on both sides. Came with mushroom and egg was snotty.the breakfast was returned and even after requesting no mushroom for the second time it returned with the mushroom. She also slammed everything down on the table! It was as if she did not want to be there and her top had a big stain down it. The bar staff were excellent. We eat out both nights on our return the receptionist had her head in her hands as if she was asleep! Been a big change in staff not good.

Breakfast was amazing with great views. Room was nice but a bit tired around the edges and TV didn't work. Overall it was great value for what we paid and I would happily stay again.
