Check in was ok, it was my birthday and so would have been nice to have had a nod the special occasion. With regards to the rooms, they were fine, however there was as stain on one of the duvet covers and the fridge wasn't working. I found the swimming changing rooms to be rather 'tired' and in need of redecoration. What was excellent was the breakfast which all the family enjoyed.

Great location, limited staff interaction but what we did was great. Room is clean, if not a little shabby around the edges - small nicks and scuffs to most of the surfaces and walls in the bathroom.

Pool lovely and Beds comfy

Great stay. We were glad we got a train, as it looked difficult to get a parking space if you arrived around 3pm for check-in! The pool was amazing and we really enjoyed it! Was the best part of the hotel. The beds were also very comfy

Tired hotel

Entrance is strange. Very dark entrance and would be wary about the approach if arriving at night. The facilities are tired. At breakfast a lot of equipment wasn’t working properly. Both drinks machines were problematic and pancake machine didn’t work properly. The bedroom was spacious but bathroom didn’t seem to have a working extractor fan and soap hadn’t been replenished. We weren’t on the road side but when we opened the window there seemed to be a lot of people congregating outside talking loudly at all hours of the night and early morning.

The main reason for booking this hotel was to meet family and have drinks in the bar but there was no draught lager so we were forced to drink bottles which I don’t like!
