They do a excellent breakfast and the location is good only a short walk into the town.Our only complaint is the beds are only double size and the rooms were very warm but overall this is a great place to stay

The rooms we very dusty, the shower had mould in it. Breakfast was terrible, not alot out and it was cold. Coffee tasted like warm dirt.microwave to heat up baby food. Key cards didnt work everyday

Avoid on race weekends especially

Do not stay here on race days. Check out advertised as 11am on hotels.com but a sign in the room tells you that you have to check out at 10am. Luggage storage advertised but you cannot use this on race days. Well, we were told it wasnt available when checking out, but another person was allowed to leave luggage!

Okay but not as good as previous

We have previously stayed at this hotel which is the reason we chose to come back and the price was reasonable. In comparison to previous visits we felt the property had aged and the quality of things such as the breakfast was poor. Additionally, there is no air con and the fan provided was covered in dust and insufficient to cool the room. It wasn’t the hotel’s fault that there was an exciting police car chase involving cars and helicopter but at 2am with the window open to try and cool the room, wasn’t ideal! Parking was £10/night which seems reasonable given the hotels excellent location at the racecourse and close to the City Centre. Staff were generally polite, friendly with reception a little slow.

Bed was not as comfortable as other chain hotels we have tried. Room too hot, provided fan was way too small to make any impact. Shower water pressure was awful. Close to town a significant plus, a necessity however, as no evening food was being served when we arrived. Average breakfast but obvious lack of attention to refilling available food.

The service and staff were wonderful. The heat of the rooms were unbearable and the pull out sofa for my daughter gave her a backache and she is small. There was no a/c only a fan but the window only opened about 4 inches with NO AIR FLOW.

You get what you pay for but no air con…

The hotel itself is fine for a decent priced stay but the lack of air con in the rooms when it’s hot made it a poor nights sleep. It gets very warm as it’s made with a lot of glass. Bed was clean but there was chocolate on the desk chair thankfully seen before we sat down. Floor had not been vacuumed or most of the floor was missed if it had. Just didn’t feel like any attention had been paid to the room cleanliness. Breakfast is included so couldn’t complain but it was chaotic,low quality and ran out of items. We gave up and went out instead there are lots of lovely independent coffee shops a few minutes walk away. The parking was very handy and at £10 for the night not badly priced.
