Within easy walking distance of the City centre. The hotel was well run and the staff were very helpful. A very nice self service breakfast. The rooms were clean and tidy. Tha only downside was the room was warm and the bed cover had a heavy duvet in it which made it difficult to get to sleep. Once we sorted this out everything was OK. I would recommend.

We appreciated the free upgrade to a bigger room but the bathroom was still in the 90's..! The shower was either scalding hot or freezing cold and kept falling away from the holder it was on so had to practically crouch under the shower head. Apart from that it was a nice quiet 2 night stay, with shops within walking distance. Parking was safe and secure for £12 per 24 hours.

This hotel is really nice to stay in. The facilities are good and the pool area and facilities are excellent. The staff are pleasant, helpful and friendly.

Great location

Good check in arrived 2 hours earlier than check in and let us have our room … room was very dated not like on the photographs .. no air con in room but did supply a fan … by the main road so very noisy as had to have window open due to room being very hot … room was clean though .. breakfast good … excellent location

Chester getaway

Very friendly staff and lovely restaurant/ bar. Bit confusing as a walking couple arriving at the station and trying to find the hotel but when leaving found the easy route back to the train station. If researched better would have been easy.

Average hotel - close to the City Centre

Very average place - Entrance and lobby areas are modern and pretty spacious - the rooms or at least the room I got was a different story , furniture and decor about 30 years out of date , bathroom awkwardly shaped and cramped. Room 409. Id stay here if I was looking for a 1 night get away to be close to the city center for a night out. £12 per day parking even though we arrived at 7 pm and left at 5 am for work. Non negotionable even though we parked in the unsecured car park next to the hotel that had signs reading "NOT FOR HOTEL GUESTS". Pool and Spa were extremely busy - with non hotel guests / students from the area I suspect. Overall a place to lay your head and plenty to entertain you outside the hotel - would not reccomend for a long stay though or if your wanting a luxury / spa stay.

Our bed was quite small, the bedding was clean as was the bathroom. We ate out as the restaurant prices were expensive. Parking was a distance away.

It can be a bit diffucult finding your way around because this hotel is split across two buildings, but the room was lovely and I enjoyed the bar, restaurant and pool.
