We booked an overnight stay in order to catch an early ferry. Refurbishment has been done in reception and the bar area. The rooms look tired and stuffy, unable to open the window more than three inches. The bathroom door kept swinging open as there was no latch or lock on the door. For what it was,the price was ok.

Disgusting hotel Dirty and no hot water at all see my picture if I could give zero points I would . Very noisy and had no sleep at all . Flys around the meat at breakfast and cleaning going on when having breakfast

Never again this property. No hot water, the carpet was wet next to the window, you can see the wall is wet too. Dirty rooms. No breakfast option. Very old muld smell.

The pictures advertising the room are deceiving. Was quite dissapointed to find a very shabby small double on our stay. The room is quite old, hasnt been maintained well with dingy corridors. Moreover we found a parking penalty for parking on their property even though we were customers of the hotel and parking should be free!!!!!

Ideal overnight close to the Euro Tunnel

For the price it’s hard to be too critical but the decor and building were tired, there was a stale smell of green and our mattress was past its best, if you need an overnight that’s affordable with a bar and pool table and parking then it’s hard to beat

Shower was terible had to run for ages before any hot came through then it really hot. It says rooms cleaned daily but ours wasnt touched. The sink leaked so everytime you washed your hands you had water on the floor. We sat outside and the smell of drugs is awful. People sat in the doorway smoking so the smell was coming inside.

Easy access to everything

Needed 2 nights away from work and home life and choose folkestone as love the beach .... The Carlton is 10 min walk from the station and 10 min walk from he beach . Shops are also about a 10 min walk Hotel was clean and staff were friendly Room was comfortable and had a sea view I didn't feel uncomfortable being on my own and would definitely visit again
