Folks did not expect the Ritz for the price paid so was not worried about the décor defo needs updating and acoustic measures required . Chose the hotel for the location and the 2 star rating . However after the first night requested from reception additional pillows extra blankets as no duvets supplied and a clean kettle as the one in the room was full over limescale . Never received the items requested . We had a terrible 3 night sleep as noise from the inside and outside the hotel we brought ear plugs from boots . The last night sleep slept in my clothes as bed spread gave to my wife as she was freezing . Room was not cleaned over our stay not even the bin emptied yesterday and no fresh towels . Shower was leaking from the head so flow was half of what it should have been . Only positive thing was the great location to the town centre and beach and costal path and things to do . To sum it up should have paid the extra 200 pounds to stay in the best western hotel .

Good things first- The front desk people were polite and helpful. The car parking is free. It’s located in a very nice area where you can walk to the nearby beach or go for a walk. It is very near to superstores. The shower & the sink had warm water Negative things- The floor where our room was smelly. The door knob was broke. The walls in the room are thin so we could hear the neighbours talking ( to be honest the neighbours were rude and talking loudly ) and I heard them snoring. The floor was uneven ( although there was a nice carpet ) The drawers were broke. The room was cold but they provided us with an electric heater. The beds are very uncomfortable conclusion- if you are in the area for a day or two then this will be fine but don’t expect much from the rooms.

Room was damp and not the cleanest bed covers were stained walls black with damp Door to room was only just holding on the lock Breakfast was cold toilets were vile Bathroom in room had no lock sink was hanging off the wall and toilet seat was hanging off

It's cheap and affordable to stay here, but in recent years there has been an amateur attempt to refurbish the place. The decor is hideously over the top, with the wallpaper in the room making me feel nuisious. Lawrence Llwellyn~Bowen would have adored it during his time on TV's 'Changing Rooms'.

Clearly the rooms don't get regular maintenance, door handle to bathroom broken, only one plug which fits sink but not bath, only one side of socket works which means kettle or TV but not both at the same time, pillows rock hard. There was a single bed in our family room which we didn't need but it was disgusting and had we needed it sleeping on it would have been impossible, springs literally poking through Booked a bath and it was confirmed but given shower, had to go back down and get it changed, inconvenient. However none of that was catastrophic and at £29 not the end of the world.

The property was cheap and extremely basic. Wallpaper was torn, beds were very soft and it needed a really good lock of paint. Communal areas were better

long wait to check in . well the room was so small. bathroom even smaller you could not move in there. and the bed was really worn out with springs sticking out of it. the breakfast room smells so bad of damp. I would not class this hotel as 3 star maybe a 2 star would I stay again never. and I think ebookers should take it off there books. I need a break to get over this one. and a new back from the bed .
