Late night desk staff was brusque and unhelpful with simple request for advice on process w/airline voucher. Morning staff ignored request to turn off really loud Marriott ad in TV in empty room next to us at 7am. Said it was occupied and nothing they could do. Asked them to call. They hadn't after an hour. I called from room and we could hear it ring. System said room was inactive. This is Florida/stand your ground gun law state so no way in HELL was I going over there. I did later when door propped open and nobody answered. Party had trashed room. Rooms are not soundproof. Bathroom needs refresh of old caulk and new shower curtain. Coffee in room worse than on airplane. Shop in lobby sells Starbucks but not full barista menu. You can't charge to room. Only one lobby elevator working for 500 rooms. Stairs and service elevator other end of the hall. Upside is pool patio nature area with turtles and iguanas. But there is a huge stadium being built

A handicapped accessible room was reserved on June 26. When my flight was delayed I called hotel to make sure room was held for late arrival. Hotel agreed. When I checked in they didn't have any handicapped accessible rooms. Forced to stay in unsafe regular room. I said room should have been comped but only received 50% discount. Also problems with shuttle not showing up and broken elevators. Befl forewarned!

At night I tried to call from the room to the front desk for a call in the morning because I had to go to the Fort Lauderdale airport and I called for more than 5 minutes and no one answered. I had to go down from my room 302 to ask for a favor and the supervisor Carolina, said that she was busy and they couldn't answer the call, the service at the reception was terrible and in the. kitchen I ordered a meal and it took more than 30 minutes to serve, in conclusion the experience was negative!!

What mostly made the stay a horrible experience was that there was only one functional elevator, imagine staying the night to catch a morning flight and having to wait more than thirty minutes to catch an elevator. This is unacceptable. No hotel should run under these conditions. People risk losing their flights and the price that to stay the night is the same. You can do better than Sheraton. Get this fixed
