The hotel was across the street from the beach access. The ocean was visible from our room. The bar and pool were at another property behind the hotel, at a sister hotel, a short walk through an alley. The pool closed at 8pm, we were unable to use it as we arrived around 7pm, so I cannot comment on that. Room was clean, had everything we needed. Front desk staff was courteous and helpful, especially arranging valet pickup on arrival.

The place is okay. We stayed in room 401, which had a big terrace. We booked two nights, but they told us that we could stay in room 401 for only one night and would have to move to another room tomorrow, as this night was a complimentary upgrade. I wasn’t happy about that and asked if we could stay in the same room for the second night, but they said it was already booked. :(

The location for the hotel cannot be beat. It’s right on Ocean Avenue and a two minute walk to South Beach. The staff are very friendly and they can arrange tours of Miami and even help set up rentals for scooters and bicycles. Two free bottles of water in the room and they gave us a beautiful breakfast. Nothing not to like about this hotel.

The room was clean but plain, and it was not a good view. In fact, the window oversaw an empty building next door. At check-in, I politely requested an upgrade to a better room and or an ocean view, and I was told there wasn't any availability to do so. Not sure I will stay in this hotel again. Staff was great. Building is clean but old. (Not a deal breaker). What I didn’t like was NO morning coffee and no microwave in the room. Great beach access. The restaurants along the walkways were great!
