Good location to explore Shrewsbury. The room was spacious but very dated. Breakfast was good with helpful staff. The mattresses and pillows were of very poor quality and needed replacing. The TV was a very small 12" model. The bathroom was very small and dated and the shower operated at little more than a trickle. With no air conditioning in the bedroom it made sleeping difficult especially as the window could only be partially opened (for H and S reasons) - we were however furnished with a fan for our second night. The lift was not working (transpired hadn't been working for some weeks) - as our bedroom was on the 3rd floor it was not an ideal situation, especially when it came to carrying our luggage. The hotel overall is in dire need of upgrading and renovating.

The lift is being completely replaced as it is not deemed fit to be working, i do apologies about this. Kind Regards

As a whole the property was clean, the staff were very good, pleasant and approachable The property really needs an upgrade, it would be nice to keep the original features due to the age of the hotel, but everywhere needs new floorboards and carpets. Lots of odds and sods about in the hallways which is unnecessary Parking is an issue there are limited spaces and you can't guarantee you are going to get a space

Enjoyed our stay. Spacious room, nicely furnished. Only problem was hot tap for bath did not work so could only fill bath using shower!
